It's a little dark, but overall not bad for my use. There are some parts that should be a tad lighter, but not enough to mess around with.

Re: Larger More Detailed "Pretty" Map

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone! What I ended up doing is downloading the original size of the first link given and then using Adobe Illustrator, blew it up to a 2'x3' PDF. I had that printed on a Matte stock at Office Max and it turned out pretty well. The printout is only a little pixellat...

Re: Larger More Detailed "Pretty" Map

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the vector idea. I dropped the largest version of the map originally pointed out to me into Illustrator, enlarged it to about a 2' x 3' and put it into a PDF. I'm interested to see the results when I get it back from OfficeMax.

Re: Larger More Detailed "Pretty" Map

Is there is a large, detailed map of the Palladium fantasy world? I'm looking for something that could be printed out to a poster size. Here is that what you are looking for? While very well done, that image isn't high enough resolution to do a poster from.. The downloaded version of that is 2423 x...

Re: Could Use some Input on a Campaign

Would be interesting to see a hacker specialist override the zombie controls. Or hell, a psionicist with Telemechanics should be able to search through the programming in order to find out how to control them with an advanced radio, or using Telemechanic Possession to control a zombie to move throu...

Re: Could Use some Input on a Campaign

Changed my post when I read the whole description. How exactly do you expect your players to beat an alien intelligence anyway? Do they have strong classes, are they tired to any organizations? Could be important. To be determined. I've not figured out the specifics of the intelligence yet. Right n...

Re: Could Use some Input on a Campaign

Correct. The beginning is based on Juicer Uprising, though I drew some of the very base inspiration when reading Psyscape. I always like to throw in some sort of curveball to keep the players interested. The beginning is a little vanilla in that regard. Though the group seems happy so far.

Could Use some Input on a Campaign

I'm currently running a Rifts campaign. After going through the first portion of it, I'm a little torn on what to do. I'll start with the overview of planned out portion. "A Gathering Menace" There is an alien intelligence that is gathering power and working its way into the Rifts Earth di...

Thanks, guys! That helps me quite a bit.

It's good to know that it isn't just a pair of weapons catalogs. I've always been more interested in the lore than the toys.

Northern Gun One General Question

For those of you who have the NG1 world book, is it pretty much a catalogue of equipment and little else, or is there some plot in there as well? Not asking you to spill any secrets, just want to know some general information to help me prioritize it on my "Rifts Book Purchase List" which ...

I would not get my hopes up. As nothing in the setting or rules will change. Possibly some metaplot yet again im expecting little change. The CS have plot armor and immunity to any changes due to their popularity with the fanbase. The good organizations will still be written as disorganized and not...

Re: Is Rifts dead?

That brings up a point. I don't think a game ever truly dies. If Kevin were to retire, say, next year (don't start a rumor, this is purely hypothetical), and does not have a succession plan in place, it's safe to say that Rifts would no longer be in print and no further source books would be produce...

Re: Which New World Book Do You Want To See!

You should buy China 2. What you have described is basically the Geofront. They don't have power issues though and haven't evolved dark vision. The book also pretty much closes the idea of other underground nations from the Pre-Rifts era, they stated pretty concisely that the Chinese were the only ...

Rifts World Book 48: Underground The premise is that before, or even during the great war, large bunkers were dug out and people who were afraid of the oncoming war hid out in them. They may have even gone into old, abandoned mines. People never really left the bunkers or mines, instead expanding th...

Re: Is Rifts dead?

I don't know that I'd say Rifts is Dead. You might be able to convince me that it's slowly dying. Like any other game, though, it has its problems. As has been stated in countless forums, articles, reviews and the like, the system feels old. While I agree with that, I don't have a real problem with ...

Questions on Game Mechanics

I have two questions for you all. This is really more related to the Palladium Megaversal System versus specifically for Rifts. First, the base saving through versus Spell magic seems pretty wishy-washy. I'm using the Ultimate Edition and all that I'm seeing is "12-16 based on caster power leve...

Published Adventure Recommendation

I'm an experienced GM, but new to the Rifts universe. Whenever I run a game for the first time, I like to run a published adventure or two so I can get a feel for how the players will react and get a good flavor for the world. I use that first published adventure or two as a springboard into a longe...

I agree with adding it to RPGNow as well. That game was incredibly well done, one of my favorite settings overall. I'd like to get another copy, too. I like having one to hand around the table to players and one for me to reference when running. If it doesn't end up on RPGNow, it is available elsewh...

I'd probably add in the "use common sense" rule as well. I don't see how a wizard could cast a form of mind control on himself.

Hit Points & S.D.C For the reasoning of adding S.D.C. to the Palladium Fantasy Role Playing Game, I'll have to agree with Veknironth and Robyn above. They probably did it to bring it in line with the other games, so, for instance, someone in a Rifts game could come to this world with no convers...

I would like to pose a query to all of you. Assuming that you have the "core" books for PFRPG (The main book, Dragons & Gods, Monsters & Animals), what ONE book would you get that's already in print (sorry, no Old Kingdom) and why do you choose that one? I'm not saying I'm only goi...

I'm not familiar with the D&D rules, so take what I say with a grain of salt...the D&D ones may be better. I have two different solutions (which ultimately end up being the same...just one is more detailed than the other). In both cases, don't worry about two arrows hitting each other. That ...

Let me preface this by stating I don't work for Palladium books, freelance or full time. I am in no way associated with this fine company. So the results of this will hopefully be read and considered by the folks who call the shots, but ultimately, this is simply a wish list. What would you like to ...
