I would rule that while simple weapons is made with magic the damage it inflicts is not magic based and it would not damage a vampire. Just because a weapon is summoned with magic does not make it a magic weapon.

The laser swords is a bit of a odd weapon. In general a weapon that only works with in arms reach and can not be used to parry is not very effective. Remember the spell chain stuff is just a guideline all TW is fully under the "GM discretion" claws. Any time you want to build any TW item work with your GM even the examples of it in RUE, it only works if the GM says so and how it works is up the GM.

I think part of the problem is they have more ideas and worlds then they have staff for. Some of the setting are long over do for a new book. They try to work on the main cash line because they need to go with what sells. But even these are often late.

The charters I have done that where deployment charters. We worked day on day off and on our off days we played for 10-12 hours. So when you play like that and only play when charter for a year it can be done.
