Picky Players
Ever craft what you think is compelling story and you put a little thought into the setting... and the players or rather a player picks it apart? I am not the best GM and I make no such claims. I had a pretty cliche story for a one shot Talislantis game. The princess has been kidnapped by a necroman...

Re: The point.
Gonna have to agree with KC here, No point in quiting a game because of one bad session or one truly boring grindfest. Now, I like playing so much more than GMing so I don't have any problem groaning through some poorly GMed gaming sessions just to be able to stretch out before going back to GMing. ...

I wouldn't make any connection between Hunters and Guardians. Guardians are a lot more fun to play than most WW stuff. And, by "fun" I mean "powerful" Cause sometimes you just want to kill a nest of vampires with a glance and put the fear of God into the other PCs.

Just keep track of basic things the characters do and occassionally reference a past event. Like if they get caught on the nightly news killing some fbi agents (hollow men)... Save some guardians from getting killed by some hounds, come to the aid of some mere mortals... ect. All of these things can...

Everything has a point, otherwise there wouldn't be one. No, I could delibertely use a program to write a hundred random rules and hand it to you. It would have no point - if you started trying to see one, it's purely your invention. The thing here is that having a vision for how to do things, havi...

The closest thing I ever played to a normal person in nightbane was an abandoned vampire from a Rifters. So... no. But, I offer a four level bump to anybody that plays a mere mortal in my nightbane games.

Like avoiding important encounters? If the story is set up ahead of time it shouldn't change anything. Even if they miss talking to that homeless guy who secretly is the only one who knows the monsters true form/weakness.

I don't think that power is over powered. It's more fun than anything, and becomes utterly useless way out in the boonies, and getting into places that are indeed off the grid. I wouldn't put skill check limitations on it. Nightbane are supposed to be powerful. It makes it more fun when you drop a p...
