Re: Garden of the Gods has gone to press !
Written for the Palladium Fantasy RPG world, it is adaptable to any Fantasy setting. The Garden itself has characteristics that take it beyond the ordinary, meaning it is known to the Gods and subtly influenced by them. The various statues within include many known and little known Gods plus a few ...

Re: Garden of the Gods has gone to press !
Still waiting on mine. I've sent three inquiries through the site already asking for any ideas when to expect it, but so far no answer. I don't think I'll be pre-ordering anything else. I'll just wait until I know its out and get it from a local store instead. I never pre-order anything. I haven't ...

Re: Wayne needs your Rifter submissions
Though I am going to sound like a materialistic weasel here, I originally submitted my writing more for the money than to see my name in print. Given the desire for anything Nightbane (among a few other settings), I thought I had a good shot at getting published and making money all at the same time...

This will be the fifth time for me, and I always feel that rush when I see my name and my writing in print. C'mon folks, send in those submissions!

Re: "Where did nightbane come from?" If I was the writeer/GM
I have some ideas for that very question that I'm going to incorporate into the Dark Day Chronicles stories in the near future. I don't want to give them away here, but the origin suspicions voiced by one of the more learned characters will emphasize his own personal beliefs and will in no way mean ...

Re: Rifter #58
Hey Reagren,
I think I'm going to be in this issue based on the description. Volume 5 of the Dark Day Chronicles missed the last issue, so I'm hoping that's the Nightbane story and stats mentioned. I'm hoping everyone is enjoying the story because I'm loving writing them!

Re: Rifter #57
Interestingly, there is no fiction in this issue, not even another installment of the Dark Day series set in Nightbane that has been a regular fixture recently. Am I the only one who misses the narratives? I do have to take the blame for missing the deadline. I'm the author of the Dark Day Chronicl...

Re: Palladium Level Cap
I've been running various Palladium games since I first found the system in its 1st edition incarnation. Leveling up too fast or too much XP has never really been an issue. When I GM, which is most of the time, I feel I am liberal but fair with the experience. I don't give out XP every time someone ...

Re: Movement during combat
The first time I read this it confused the heck out of me. I'm at work and answering questions while reading it, though. Once I got some time and thoroughly read it, I have to say that this is the best movement rule I have seen. Well done! I've always had issues working out a reasonable movement sys...

Re: NightBane, Rifts crossover
I read in one of the Palladium books (not even going to try to remember which, but I think it might have been one of the HU ones) about "balanced groups". In my opinion, they don't exist in almost every Palladium setting. True, I mainly play/run Heroes Unlimited, Rifts, Recon, and Nightban...

Re: ~ Werebeasts in Night-spawn/bane ~
The fourth installment of the Dark Day Chronicles actually introduces some variant Werewolves and Vampires to the Nightbane world. While I loved the Tribes of the Moon, I felt, with a lot of play-testing in my home and on-line games, that there was some lacking areas in both races. Vampires, as they...

Re: rifter 55 cover & content
OK, here's my quick review of Rifter #55; While I didn't go though the PFRPG articles right away, Dark Day Chronicles Vol. 3 continues to be a good read. All in all, another excellent issue! Kudos to all involved! Thanks a lot for the compliment! I've really enjoyed writing the Dark Day Chronicles ...

MadManMike, I look forward to seeing your art for the story. Any chance of giving me a teaser on what is was about? Feel free to send it in a private message as not to spoil the story at all for anyone else. I loved the artwork for the last story and am very interested to see what was done for this...

Re: Nightbane Fiction
Thanks Revan! I appreciate the feedback. I do agree about Gabriel's name, but I did it more as a private joke than anything else. A good friend of mine (from whom I based Gabriel's human appearance) was once called Gabriel by a girl he dated ("my own personal angel"). I always associated h...

Dark Day Chronicles Vol. I and II are now out (Rifter #53 and #54 respectively) and I'd love to hear feedback from those who read it. Suggestions? Comments? Loved it? Hated it? Do tell!

Re: Rifter 54
I don't know about other stories, but I do have part two of my Nightbane Chronicles coming out in this Rifter. I actually wrote the entire series out as a novel originally, but thought they might have a better chance of getting published if they were in short fiction format. I plan to keep submittin...

Re: Rifter 53
I was surprised I enjoyed the Nightspawn story. Just 2 bits of constructive criticism. Too many exclamation points! Some times it seemed every third sentence was ! The word 'literally' was literally used too many times. No one will think that the spear figuratively pinned her to the wall . if you c...

Nightbane Fiction
There is a short story in The Rifter #53 called Nightbane: Dark Day Chronicles, Vol. 1. Has anyone read it yet and if so what did you think of it? I'm very curious to hear from fans of Nightbane about it.

Re: Rifter 53
Out of curiosity, how long does it take for contributors to receive their copies of The Rifter in the mail once it goes public? I know there was a holiday last week and all, but I still haven't received my copies just yet. I'm to the point where I'm going tomorrow to buy a copy from my FLGS (Friendl...
