Re: We may have to rethink the fundamentals of WP archery.

With the rules as written, the balance comes from how hard the bow is to defend against. Any character besides a Long Bowman and Warrior Monk is -10 to parry/dodge against arrows. 2D6 doesn't seem like a lot, but getting your rate of fire up to 7 equals 14D6 per melee that most are -10 to defend aga...

Re: Do Mages roll to hit in your games?

I think it's wonderfully balanced exactly as written. My lvl 1 wizard is going to throw 2 5d6 firebolts at you in a melee, but your lvl 1 Merc Fighter is going to hit me 3 times with a 3d6 (+ps bonus if any) battle axe in a melee. The simplest thing to do is to just go by the book. Roll to strike if...

Re: Call lightning. What ???

Yes. There is SDC in first edition. But you cant count SDC as protection when damage is above AR. If damage is above AR all the damage will hit the hitpoints. So Armor will have no effect on the lightning from a 10th level wizard if the damage roll is above AR. This is not correct. The damage would...
