Re: something that continues to bother me..
My favorite part about these boards is that people who have never been in the military tell combat veterans how the military works. “I’ve never served on a combat ship at war, but you navy veteran are wrong about how the chain of command works.” Keep doing you guy

Re: something that continues to bother me..
After thinking about this more, I don’t see how the Major could have been assigned as the commander of the ship initially and he must have taken over command at some point during the mission. (Bypassing the obvious reason that it’s just a creator oversight). Commanding officers are referred to as C...

Re: Where do i find rules on crafting enchanted objects?
I don’t think anyone mentioned it, but the Mystic Kuznya OCC (sp?) from Mystic Russia (Rifts WB 18) covers some magic item creation from a blacksmithing standpoint. I’ve used those rules and a variant of the class itself in PF.

Re: something that continues to bother me..
I assumed that he was a Marine Major and became the man-in-charge. While ranks are important, when there is serious things going down, knowedge/cajones/level of experience can take priority. That’s how I ended up as MIC during a flooding casualty on my boat as a third class PO after the XO got confu...

Re: Who's sailing the Scarlet Sea?
Since we mentioned sea travel, I figured I would share a rule of wrist that many historians use to determine distances during Ancient/Medieval travels. It is the 1:7:21 ratio. The distance traveled on a boat in 1 day equals the distance traveled on a horse in 7 days and equals the distance traveled ...

There isn’t an official one that I can remember, but Kitsune has a space SAMAS on his page if you want an example of one.

Re: The revenge of blood against Chi Town
It is referred to as the Campaign of Blood in most Rifts books. It is the revenge campaign against magic users after the FOM invaded ChiTown in 12 PA. For more info look on page 12 of FOM world book and in Tolkeen Wars 1 (don’t know which page, but in the history of the conflict section) where it is...

Re: looking for rifter book
He’s saying that there was a Rifter which had optional rules for air combat (Rifter 33) and was wondering if there was one with equivalent optional rules for armored vehicular combat and also if there are tables to assist in the construction of those types of vehicles. There are optional vehicular c...

Re: CS armament
You know how I know that MD weapons and MDC armour isn’t rare? There are literally hundreds of thousands of people issued it. I don’t have the books on me, but the CS Army alone is like 400,000 people. Why debate about one or two people in the wilderness where there are verifiably hundreds of thousa...

Re: Fission or fusion?
I assumed it was something similar to the old HTRE-3 nuclear powered aircraft reactors we used to have. I don’t have all the specs anymore from my old navy nuke days, but it was an air cooled reactor that used the thermal expansion of the air to create thrust. Granted there was an undesired reactivi...

Re: Randpm Factories(Roll Charts)
Yeah size kinda threw me off too at first. But after going back to check, I noticed it said “employee wise”. I actually like that better than physical dimensions. I inspect a lot of factories for my job and physical size is more dependent on product and manufacturing process. I inspected a place tha...

Re: Sea Titan become a Godling...what?
Gods can pretty much do whatever they want but godling would be correct in this case. Usually demigods were the offspring of a god and a mortal and a godling was a lesser god of the pantheon. So mortals could be raised to godling status. Demigods could also be raised to godling status. Or either of ...

Ogretopia
In the Hammer of the Forge story, Ogretopia was mentioned several times. Usually just in passing, but at least once there were terrorists that were beat down. Has this place been fleshed out more? Either in a chapter of the story or by anyone else? This seemed like a neat concept.

Unfortunately I don't have the URL. I remember really enjoying the rules in that netbook. They made total sense.

Wallachia Netbook
Does anyone remember a Wallachia Netbook on the web many years back? It had new rules for vampires in Rifts/Nightbane. I've been trying to find it for awhile. Anybody have this or know who made it? I believe that this version of vampire was called nosferatu to differentiate from the standard rules.
