[New Chi Magic] Chi Lens

Unread post by Mantisking »

Level 4
Chi Lens

Range:
30 feet (9.15 meters)
Duration: 6 Melee Rounds per Level of Experience.
Saving Throw: None.
Cost: Eight P.P.E.
This spell functions similar to the Chi Ball Lens from the Chi Ball Kata (page 158, Mystic China). The caster creates a lens in front of him and by looking through it, can see creatures of chi, the chi inside living beings, flows or deposits of ch, and the general amount of negative or positive chi. This spell also allows the caster to see alchemical auras (page 78, Mystic China). The interesting thing about this spell is that anyone within 3 feet (0.92 meters) of the caster who can see through the lens can also see these things.
As Celestial Calligraphy: Works whether or not the caster understands it. Blue ink on gold paper.

You don't like it, or you don't have much experience with Chi Magic?

why not? I think it's cool.

and I think it's a decent spell overall. I wasn't too crazy about the Chi lense kata so i'm not too crazy about this, but it looks ok.

It's a utility spell. If I got an "OMG, that's soooo coool." reaction, I'd probably be confused.

Cheeky. :) One of the fun things about it, other members of your group can also look through the lens if they're standing close enough.
