RE: Wild Speculation
Well as I recall, Randi Cartier was the one charged with the Old Kingdom books. She turned in a HUGE manuscript and it got shelved for editing. Here is hoping that it is in the works to be released.
PLEASE, no meta-plot like the SoT. Personally think that would drive the last nail in the coffin of PFRPG.
How about something with a nice full color, fold up, hang on the wall MAP of the world?

I unfortunetly don't have a copy, but I've seen it. Very classic medieval/fantasy knights & a castle. Looks nice.
OK, so someone else step up then

Yes, a Old Kingdom would be my best bet as well as Randi Cartier turned in a 'script some years ago now, 10 i believe. Lowland or Mountains, i don't know.

IIRC that submission was reeeeeeeaaaaaaaalllllllllllll rough with need of a lot of work. Kev talked about it last time I saw him at Dragon Con, and I walked away from the talk with the impression that the manuscript would have to be almost completely rewritten.

As much as I'd like to see the Old Kingdom book, given what we already know about the Old Kingdom (see Old Kingdom what's it like? And Land ownership? for more information), I don't think it's likely that we'll get what we should for these books.
What I'd rather see is the other manuscript Randi's rumored to be working on, namely Land of the South Winds, since there's so little existing canon information about the region (Old Ones and High Seas give us the location and/or names of some cities, while Library of Blethlerad gives us a slightly more indepth overview).

All you need to know about SoT as it applies to fantasy was that it was an abysmally awful set of 5 or 6 books that had a running plot and didn't stat out things you needed for this war until they were about to be destroyed.
Basically it was like a big GMPCgasm where the GM in question (Kevin) just made special excpetions to let his favorite guys win... and at any point if you deviated from the story he laid down, then the other books were far far less useful as they didn't discuss the PCs actually doing anything of value to alter the unfolding events.
This is the sort of thing people are dreading with the Wolfen Wars.
Back on topic, I'm looking forward to the Mysteries of Magic most of all. Been looking forward to that one for years. Then Old Kingdoms.

Like that's a simple question to ask about a Pal Book...
Well Nexx is the author. I'm not sure how much he can divulge though.
I hope it's some mechanics along the vein of Through the Glass Darkly...and hopefully details some places of power and temples and generally be about magic across palladium. that would be neat.
