Inflattable space stations.

Transatmosperic civilian CG craft.

Small utility space vessels (ranging from the
loader PA for Aliens to the space tugs in DS9
opening pictures).

A personal secretary-bot, combining CG, the holographic
computer - a small item which follows you.

Nanotech kitchen multitools (self cleaning, nothing less).

Adios

But still, one of the most basic rules for survival on any planet is never to upset someone wearing black leather - This is why protesters against the wearing of animal skins by humans unaccountably fail to throw their paint over Hell's Angels.

I'll leave the source of this idea up to your imagination... :P

NEURAL WEAPONRY

In addition to organic research, the center has produced a few psi-tech items:

Neural Wiper: this hand held item can produce a neuro-stimulus (via a series of
intricately-timed light flashes) which can duplicate the effects of the Mind Wipe and Hypnotic
Suggestion super powers. Currently the item only works on most of the "average" races within
the Three Galaxies (such as Noro, Human, Catyr, etc) but hasn't been tested against Dominators,
Vaccuum Wasps and other "unusuals". The weapon needs to be configured to the type of opponent
it's working on (done easily with a few button pushes or a Headjack) and needs to be kept
charged. The Social Studies Branch is testing 1500 of the devices currently. It only works on
single targets that are within three feet of the device and are looking at it.

Neural Resequencer: this is simply an advanced medical bay fitted with a larger version of the
Neural Wiper. 600 of these are in use on large Naruni installations and warships (inside the
ship's hospital bay).

Drawbacks: both of these items can cause permanent brain damage on their subjects, if they're
used more than two or three times on the same individual. GMs should roll 1D4+1 on the first
usage to determine how many more times they can be used on that individual.

Does it come with complementary Ray-Ban sunglasses? 8-)

Well, getting back to the original question.....

I'd say on advanced worlds its all about personal pleasure and entertainment. VR devices of all kinds, cosmetic goodies, clothes that shapeshift, perfume emitters, getting on the net through your headjack and playing Half-Life 27:Deathmatch while riding the shuttle home.
Anything fun you can imagine thats totally impractical.

On border worlds or space stations, its all about survivial. So it would be hidden weapons and armor, survey and analysis tools. Automated gadgets of all types.
I have often dreamt of an RMK and IRMSS that works with borgs and body armor. Not sure if any of the 3 Galaxies books have this yet.

Along the lines of automated tools, I should think utility droids similar to the astromechs of Star Wars would be popular.
NOT intelligent PC/NPC droids but simple robots that take care of basic things. Food preperation, engine maintenence, armor repair and more.

It always amazes me how many players want to waste time doing every little thing for themselves. I keep telling them, "you dont get the XP for routine tasks".
