Holy cow Erick, what have you discovered now!!

This looks amazingly cool. Now, is it just someone out having fun, or is this for real...

I think I'd rather have a persocom. Genetically-engineered, 1-3 year -lifespan 'pets' is just a little creepy for me.

Breeding a living creature with such a short life span (1 or 3 years) raises some interesting moral questions:

Is it moral to create a throw away pet?

Is a creature that has been bread to have a short life span for our convenience any more wrong that have a pet that conveniently has a naturally evolved short life span?

What does it say about someones character who would actually buy a prepackaged throw-away pet?

What if someone grows attached to their genepet? Should they get it cloned after it "expires"? Do you create a way to extend that life span?

I think I'd like that too, if I had to choose. Someone to clean and shop and stuff for me would just kick butt.

True. I remember catching a few episodes, one character in the series has this 6-8 in. sized Persocom that did just about everything except go shopping & clean things. That would work out for me. But of course, mine would be more like a t-short graphic I saw once, of a dark-haired 'angel' with black-feathered wings. Can't find the t-shirt anymore.

I have the whole series... it is pretty darned good. Sumomo is awfully cute... I love it when she wakes them up and makes them do exercise.
