Do you think Mind Trap work on wild animals?
My opinion is that it wouldn't since their minds are so different from that of the "evolved" mutant animals.
Please leave your thoughts on the matter.

I agree with Thyfur that humanity has a poor concept of what is intelegence and sentience. I live with a cat and nobody can tell me that she's not intelligent or sentient.
But do they play a part in how the Mind Trap power affects a target?
I admit that my initial vote was no, but that I am not totally convinced that I am correct in my assumption.
After all, there is a plant in Mutants Down Under that has the ability of Mind Trap, and even I have used an insect that could use Mind Trap. So shouldn't Mind Trap also work on any sentient plant or animal?

I think Mind trap should work on a normal animal. Being that the mind trap basically traps you in a mental illusion. I think they could be trapped. It would be just like a dream (nightmare). I know dogs dream. I would see my old dog occasionally running in his sleep.

So a hunter with Mind Trap can go into the woods, and try to place it's prey (say a Kodiak bear) in a simple mind trap and then walk up and coup de grace it?

Sure, why not?

Yes but keep the range in mind. If I was hunting, I wouldn't want to get within 6 feet of a Kodiac bear and hope it fails it's save. (Although if you can use Bio-Manipulation: Motor Area, it wouldn't be unreasonable.)
I probably wouldn't allow it on mutant insects. Insects have such different eyes I dont' think someone without them could construct a reasonable illusion to them. On other animals, I'd probably allow it.

Actually, I forgot that the power's range is only 6 feet. That does change things a bit.
