New Race, give OP.

Unread post by King Chopper »

I've been working on writing up a small empire in the Three Galaxies, and wanted another view on one of the races I came up with. I don't want them to be too powerful, or to week. What do you guys think, put more in, take some out, change something? Keep in mind this is a ruft draft, so please forgive spelling and grammar errors. More will come as I cook it up.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wile not very numerous, the Siasurrgue are the founders of the Aesurriam Empire, and hold most of the highest posions in both the military, and the government. Wile this gives them a huge amount of power, most of them do not lord it over either the Azij, or the Szon, and treat most races as equals.

The Siasurrgue look more or less human, the only differences being that there faces tend do have a longer look to them, both male and females are rather tall (6’7” to 7’ being the average), and the placement of a third eye, vertically parted, just above the eyebrows in the forehead. The one thing they are most known for is there massive amount of Psionic power, each member of the race equal from a major, to Mind Melter in power.

Wile very intelligent, the race suffers from a lack of physical power, and if pressed to, would lose hands down to most other races in hand to hand combat.

Alignment: Any, but typically good.

Attributes: I.Q. 4D6, M.E. 3D6+5, M.A. 3D6, P.S. 2D6+3, P.P. 3D6, P.E. 2D6+3, P.B. 3D6+6, Spd. 3D6

Size: Average of 6’7” to 7’ tall.

Weight: 170 to 220 pounds.

M.D.C.: By armor of psionics only.

S.D.C.: Standard.

Horror Factor: None but tend to unnerve some who have never seen one of them before.

P.P.E.: 3D6

Average Life Span: 200 years

Natural Abilities: Natural psionic powers.

Psionic Powers: As per O.C.C., or if O.C.C. is non-psychic role on the following table.

01-40%: Same powers as a major psychic, no more, no less.
41-75%: Same as above, but can select one new power from the
Sensitive, healing, or Physical categories at levels four,
eight, twelve, and fifteen.
76-00%: Same as Major, but can select one new power from ANY
category every other level (two, four, six eight, et.)

I.S.P.: 3D4x10 plus M.E. attribute, plus 3D4 per level. Considered to be master psychics.

Magic powers: None, and very few have learned.

Combat: As per O.C.C.

Vulnerabilities: None.

O.C.C.s: Can choose from any O.C.C., save those that require heavy cybernetics or bionics. Tend to favor psychic classes.

Alliances and Allies: They will work with, and quite like all the races of the C.C.W., the U.W.W. is somewhat nervous with most of the Szon being in the empires army, but are still on good terms. Most other powers blocs, like the T.G.E., Golgan Republik, and Central Alliance are kept at arms length, but they will still be polite to.

Interesting. The only thing I would suggest changing is some of the physical attributes. I kind of imagine these guys looking like tall lanky basketball players. Drop their PB down to 3D6 standard with a Speed of 3D6+3. Drop their weight to between 160 and 210 pounds.

Make them short, like 4-5 feet tall.

There are already so many tall races in Phase World it's laughable.

If that doesn't prompt you to buy it, I don't know what else I can say.

Make them fat too. All the races in Phase World are incredibally healthy MDC creatures which live practically forever.

Agreed the size is a little off - especially for poor phsysical stats. I suggest a little shorter than human (but not much, say 5' to 5'6") and either dial down the weight if they are going to be scrawny or keep the weight as is if they are going to be pudgy.

I'd say dial down the weight because they are skinny, but they have oversized heads. Maybe dock the PB too.

Depends how human like you want them to be of course - but the tall, lean and handsome sterotype is a litlle old - especially if they are sub-par physically.

With the changes it looks very interesting.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

Thats what I was going for, very tall and quite thin, altho I may have made them a bit heavier than necessary. Anyway, all opinions are welcome. Two more races to come, maybe a bit of history if anyone wants to hear it.

Hmmm...the Lardos....short, fat, with a planetary economy based on selling cigarettes, alcohol, fatty foods, remote-control home electronics, and overstuffed plush furniture...a race that has forgotten it actually has feet, and is so pathetically short lived the Splugorth and Kreeghor REFUSE to enslave them...the body fat content and carcinogen concentrations of a Lardo is so great that most monster races even turn down eating them...
