80 Grab Bags are on their way

Unread post by Kevin »

Well, we shipped out around 80 X-Mas in July Grab Bags: 45 on Monday and another 35 today. Plus the 20-30 we did last week and we’ve shipped about 100-110. The latest batches should be arriving to most of you by week’s end.

We’re trying to make all the Grab Bags cool, fun and rewarding as best we can.

Unfortunately, we can only do so much with people who say “surprise me”or “send me something unique, or cool, or unusual or whatever you want.” These kind of comments do NOT actually help us. The leave us confused because we don’t know what you might consider “unique, cool or weird” and want this to be special. In many cases, we don’t even know what you play, like or own making our job frustrating and painstaking. PLEASE give us a lot of choices and ideas!!! And stuff like “I want Rifts China 3 or Tome Grotesque” when you know they won’t be available for some time. Also, Robotech art and Kevin Long art are very, VERY limited, rare and valuable so list an alternative or three. The more choices you provide us, the better and easier it is for us to give you the things that will put a smile on your face.

I fear a few people who placed vague orders may be disappointed, but I know most of you guys and gals will be very pleased. At least I hope so.

We have about 20 others waiting to be processed (probably Thursday or Friday), which means we still have 30-50 July Grab Bags waiting to be purchased and shipped out to you. Remember, this offer ends early August! And remember that original art is increasingly rare in this age of "digital art."

Oh, and we’ve gotten every poor soul who happens by the office to give us a hand and sign books. So far that has included artist Mark Dudley Jeffry Scott Hansen, William Bailey (WSB) our part-time warehouse help (and Kathy Simmon’s brother), Margaret Hailey our intern, and Jason Marker.

Enjoy those X-Mas in July Grab Bags . . . Ho, ho, ho.

Sincerely,
Santa Kev and his little crew of elves
