Combat maneuver damage modified by superstrength

Unread post by jolt »

A basic punch by a normal does 1d4 plust PS bonus plus whatever combat moves they've learned that might do more. But how do you modify the damage for those "other" maneuvers.

For example: I have HtH Basic. At level 3 I gain Kick attacks. Karate style doing 2d4 or snap for 1d6. But let's say I have a character who has Superhuman Strength with a score of 47. Now how much does that Snap Kick or Karate Kick do? Do you just keep the proportions the same? (i.e. 2d4 is twice 1d4 so base damage is doubled?) Is that what you guys do?

I'm sorry, that isn't what I meant.

A normal human does 1d4 with a punch. If he has HtH Basic (at 3rd level) he can 2d4 or 1d6 with a kick. But how much damage do those kicks do when someone does a lot more damage than 1d4 with a basic punch? For example, let's say a super with superhuman strength does 3d6 with a normal punch. Okay, but now how much do his kicks do? Obviously his kicks are going to do more than 2d4 or 1d6 but how do you figure that out?

For Superhuman PS, I took the option of adding one die to each manuever.
Thus a punch doing 2D6 would now do 3D6, plus whatever PS damage bonus.
A kick doing 3D6 would now do 4D6, and so on.

wasn't there a big ol table for kung-fu to superstrength in one of the origional rifters?
I believe Socrates said it best at, "I drank what?"

"JESUS SAVES! The rest of you take full damage."

They call me Hadoken 'cause I'm down-right fierce.
