How many attacks do I get? (Ninjas & Superspies combinat

I have a level 5 Mutant that took Thai Kick Boxing from Ninja & Superspies. How do I figure the number of attacks per round?

You use the attacks from Thai Kick Boxing, you do NOT add two attacks*.

*Some GMs add two attacks to everything regardless, but this is the canon answer.

losing a skill program &/or a handfull of skills isn't enough to balance out a mutant with a full martial art form. but starting out with less attacks than most other heroes (unless powers are chosen which adds more attacks) does a lot better.

I always wondered about that. The martial arts from N&SS are supposed to be superior, but they seem to get less attacks.

But then, I have never been good at the crunch stuff. Are they better?

They're generally better overall. If you're just raw crunching numbers, there are a few hand to hand skills that are on par, but the additional skills and powers available more than balance the martial art styles out.

Try telling that to someone with aikido.

First off, I'd like to know what the mutant had to give up to take a martial art that is exclusive and counts as two martial arts. There's a big difference between Thai Kickboxing and, say, Tae Kwon Do. Even 2 skill programs wouldn't begin to justify giving Thai Kickboxing to a superhero.

Yeah, in the revised edition Tae Kwon Do is more powerful than Tha Kick Boxing with one exception...the Lightning Kata.
