I agree with Gardin. They are the brutal body guards who will attack and kill any oposition without hesitation. They could be working with a cosmo knight on a quest, and be loyal to that quest, but brutal and visious in their methods. Thus the "evil" allignments.

Yes I think you could see in that way. After all evil refer to alignment not disposition or habits. You could be Very evil and still work within law or for a better ideal , albeing in warped way.
