Yes, it's on the skill list, under Espionage/Military skills. Really, they should've called it "Communist Philosophy" and been done with it.

No, they're not, but they presented themselves as being derived from Communism, and the West tended to lump them together under "Communism".

There probably are, Macksting. I imagine someone is defining Castro's rule over Cuba as "Castroism", another is calling it "Cuban Marxist-Leninism". Chinese Communism is likely called "Market Communism" or "Neo-Maoism" or something like that.

Certainly it exists in the world! One need look no farther than the People's Republic of Massachusetts, where anyone who makes more than $80,000 a year (but let's ignore the fact that all non-rentcontrolled homes cost about ten times that), is considered to be a greedy, upper class scumbag, and so they are all taxed at 30%...

If you don't think working just for your state for 1/3 of every year is communism, then you don't live in Massachusetts...

But then again, I don't (anymore!) either, so there is hope.

Outside of Mass, the closest you'll come to true Communism is the Scandinavian countries of Northern Europe, where a pregnant woman can receive a home, a check and coupons for food for two years, without ever having to work or be married/have a... well, a someone else. This of course is all thanks to their 60% tax rate. Communism here being defined as taking money from others to ensure that everyone has enough resources (an equal share), to live happily.

But more importantly, why on Earth would you ever want to take this skill?

Its stated purpose is to help a character to "escape detection when under cover in a communist country."
There you go man, keep as cool as you can.
Face piles of trials with smiles. It riles
them to believe that you perceive the web they weave
and keep on thinking free.

Sure, "Vladimir Lenin", "Mark Lenine", something like that. Close enough!

Do you work for the government by chance, duck-foot?
