Gave player heart attack

Unread post by Nxla666 »

A freind of mine came over the other day whilst I was feverishly working on stuff for the games I run.

I had mentioned in a conversation a few months ago about doing a zombie stomp type campaign using SF as the core book.

I had been looking at the organitech weapons for possible inclusion in one of the games as alien tech and had taken a break and was reading the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks when she came over.

She came in said "Hi" noticed what I was reading and the book in front of me and said "I AINT PLAYING" with a terrified look on her face, shes been subjected to my games for years and has many visits to a therapist to show for it   .

Remind me to never game with you. :p

Seriously though, that's insane. I've heard of AFMBE games that have encroached on that territory but never a Systems Failure game.

Similar experience with my Robotech game . . . when one of the players arrived I was watching guncamera footage from Iraq . . the player is a Battloid pilot.

He just started saying "No . . . no . . . no . . ."

WWZ is kind of a sequal to ZSG. It takes the info from the ZSG, and turns it from a survival guide, to an oral history of a world wide zombie 'war', where the virus had spread all over the globe. It (the story) takes the form of one person going all over the globe (post 'war'), collecting peoples experiences, stories, tactics, etc, and records them as an 'oral' history.

I've seen someone mention hear on the 'boards that it's been tagged as a possible movie option.

Should note, it's by the same guy, Max Brooks.

The were the two last books I've read, and just reciently. And then went to see 28 Weeks Later.

I think it would be amusing to take the ZSG and the Ninja Burger Employee Handbook and use both of those to run an SF game. Ninja Zombies delivering fast food to the front line of the zombie apocalypse in a low tech future.
