Dimension Book 7: Megaverse Builder might come in handy for creating planets :rolleyes: just a thought though :ok:

1. Whats the relative tech level (Medieval, Modern, Hi-tech)
2. Are there any power categories available (Magic, Psionics, Super-powers)
3. What are some notable Locations/Places to these people
4. Are there any dominant/major religions
5. Is there a main protagonist

Just a few of the questions I ask myself to get a good overview of the major elements of a world.

Any thoughts for anamolies within the system like a brown dwarf? What about a planet sized nexus point.

No not a separate species ruling all others, just sorta looked at it from a Earth perspective where we have about 3 or more super powers and numerous little countries.

And how about a system that has two planets in the habitable area. And both planets have intelligent lifeforms that developed seperately.

Type: Exotic
Diameter: Small
Gravity: Light Creatures will be tall
Temperature: Temperate - Creatures will be hairy, coarse hair
Unusual/Special Features: Rings
Atmosphere: Abrasive Atmosphere Creatures will be hairy, coarse hair
Terrain: Vast forest Creatures will have long limbs with prehensile feet for swimging in forests and climbing.
Hydrosphere: Moist Large noses with flaps that can expand and close to moderate moisture
Biosphere: Dense Social Creatures- extended families will typically have children live with the parents well into adulthood, may have grandparents assist with child rearing.

Will give birth to single children, like mammals, but having twins and triplets is not uncommon. Worship their ancestors not like gods but for their lives and for their accomplishments.

Ill give you more later that is just a bit of what I see given the environment.

Actually, we do not know, how a binary solar system behaves...

...but the first planet to be a gas giant is strange (the more dense,
heavier elements are in the inner planets - usually).

Propably the result of a solar collision - I mean somewhere in the past
those twin stars somehow captured each other therefore wreaking havoc
in their planets.

Ssssooo.... We even could find some rockballs wondering around this system, frozen for ages, but once having life...

I don't think it would affect the light coming in. Unless there were some larger pieces closer to the planet. Although it would still have practically no affect.

Actually, it could be composed of ice asteroids, generating
a wide cloud of steam and dust... That would look spectacular
from outside of this ring's orbit.

I intentionally specified ice belts, since they "project" a halo, like
comets.

Furthermore, we need a relatively small star (like a red dwarf),
so the gas cloud (both from the previous life of the star, and from the
"comet belt") can cover the star more easily.

Asteroid belts however tend to have the same plane of orbit as planets...

...so they can over the whole (dwarf) star wieved from the
planet.
