Have my truck loaded with my comic book collection, drive to MercTown, sell them, and live the rest of my life in comfort. Or use the money to start a Merc Company.

hmmm depending on how lucky I felt, I'd either head to New Camelot or attempt the hazardous crossing to the NGR and sign up for a technical role in the military.

Well, if i rifted to Riftes earth exactly where i am on real earth, im outtta luck cause its dinosaur territory (central florida). I imagine in that case that I'd get eaten by something large, reptillian, and possibly intelligent.

If I had any say in the matter, Id hope to be rifted near some tech center and sell my services as an Operator. Try to learn some robot mechanics.
Be at peace, my people. All shall be looked up.

I'm skilled enough with firearms to be dangerous and to be able to provide for myself and a small group of people.

I have enough outdoors skills to survive and care for a small number of people.

I'm physically gifted enough to take care of myself.

I'm intellectually gifted enough to understand the situation and adapt.

But a lot of my survival will depend on what I have to face in regards to DB's and Supernatural stuff.

Overall...I'd give myself a better than average chance at surviving the first few months...after that...it will depend on my ability to forage for new weapons and educate myself regarding the new dangers...

I would use my knowledge of the ancient and modern world to become one of the movers and shakers of the Black Market. Crazy you say? I know the location of many, many things that are unknown to the population of Rifts Earth. Who really needs to know that the map I drew of ley lines in North America is really from a game?

Unfortunately, I've read "The Postman", and as such have a terribly negative view of the survivability of us erudite nerdy types in post-apocalyptic America.

However, every morning I would wish for cosmo-knight conversion. Eventually, I would roll a natural 20 on my "Wish for cosmo-knight conversion" check, and then I would be fine. Barring that, I would learn to backflip and do that until I was 15th level.

Rifts Earth means Rifts system... I don't think I could work the planet, but the system however...

If I appear in the same geographic Area on Rifts Earth as I occupy IRL, I would be in total wilderness. That's all that's left of Massachusetts, on Rifts Earth. So, I'd head towards Lazlo-Closer than the CS or NG. I would try to get Psi or Magic training. Failing that, I may go an volunteer at Lazlo's Defense HQ and go for Robot Pilot O.C.C. or Headhunter(At my age Bionics are less an evil violation, and more of a 'It's just about broken now anyway' kinda thing)!

Feeling seriously middle-aged... :(

If I appeared in Rifts at the same location, I would be on the new North Carolina coast in the ruins of Raleigh, surrounded by barbarians that still follow the area totems. Blue Devils-Duke, Ram-Carolina, and Wolf-NC State. If I don't get killed by them for laughing at their totems, I would probably get snatched up by Slavers. Atlantis here I come.

If I got rifted to the same geographic spot, I'd be in central Wisconsin. As in where ley line nexus are in abundance. Unless I gained special powers beyond mortal man really quickly, my survivability is very low.

There's a reason...and a very good one...that I have certain people in this forum blocked both here and on Facebook.

I can see an illustration of that nearly every time I come here.

Hmm, well if I just rifted where I was.

Chi-Town aint that far away.

But knowing me, I'd be better off heading towards Lazlo, cause the CS might be a little more triggerhappy (towards me) than I'd like.

So IF I survive the first week, I'd either be a CS Enforcer pilot (what can I say I like it), or become a scholarly Head Hunter.

hehe, good one. Shouldn't it be "half credit" though?

Hmmm. How would I survive? I guess we are all assuming we Rift to our respective locations, so I would be on the otherside of the river of CS territory, so I would play the 'human' card and cozy up with them. Perhaps I can actually teach them how to conduct Electronic Warfare seeing almost nobody in Rifts seems to remember how to.

Other than that, aside of having MD protection and MD weapons, I could survive fairly well till I came across some Simvan or a band of Brodkil.

I guess I can hook up with the 1st Cavalry if need be. Im handy with a gun and know survival techniques.

I dont believe in magic in real life, so I might be a Nega-Psychic or Psi-Nulifier and not know it. And hopefully my expierence with Wing Chung granted me some chi powers I just have not fully manifested yet. It be nice to be a minor MD creature and kick with more force than a LAW.

But the biggest skill everybody on these boards would have would be:

Lore: Rifts History and Demographics 98%

We all know everything about everything in Rifts. Demon weaknesses, political enemies, the best weapons to get, what stuff fetches the most money at a pawn shop and so on.
