Hows about a "WHY" Mecha-Viper.

There are other "Pro-Human" nations/factions listed. So Why the CS over the others ?

Would you really like to raise a child in a nation like the CS ?
Given their Education system even ?

None of the above :) My faction will be out soon though, but since we're not allowed adding to the list I guess I'll keep my mouth shut.

you which one would I join but you didnt ask why.

but now you have, I will answer

Because the Coalition States has the best chance to retake the planet,
the Coalition Education system is great if you are in it, as for my children, yes until they can make decisions on their own.

if i had to chose from the above, i'd go with the NGR. while we don't have much about thier goverment, from what is in WB5 we can see they are fairly modern in their set up, with public freedoms, a decent education system, and a fairly high level of prosperity. thier stance on D-Bee's is unfortunate, but fairly humane.

Warlord Kolodenko! I love the guy since he is a political leader who ISN'T an evil bastard wanting world domination. Yes, it's a warlord camp and therefore things are a little messy, but even for a warlord camp the place is pretty well organized and is much more like a military faction then a bunch of barbarians.

This is a Hard choice for me. Not any real order....

Native American Traditionalist
So I might become a Spirit Warrior OCC. Plant, Earth, Air Realms...

Nazca Empire of the Sun
So I could get one of those Armor Of The Sun amulets.
If I could find out how to get it recharged...hehehe

Splicer House (Carribean)
I'd train to become a Dreadguard.

Yeah, what the status one gets when 'joining' one of these would be fairly crucial to the decision but my choices would either be Atlantis (This would REALLY matter on resulting status, don't want to get eaten by something unimaginable or turned into something unimaginable in some Bio-wizard experiment, on the plus side its got the best technology and magic available on the planet and is THE most powerful military power in the mix)
or the NGR if I wanted to be sure I was defending humanity from rampaging demonic hordes and not just feeding the ego of some tin-pot emperor (the whole 'Dead-boy' look just doesn't do it for me) and Free Quebec makes third on the list.

Nothing says we are ourselves, or even a human. I virtually never play humans in RPG's if I can avoid it.

I'm the exact opposite. I refuse to play anything BUT humans when playing RPG's.

I play one every day already, might as well stretch out the ole wings (especially if I can manage to snag a race with wings...go go gromek) and have some fun with it all. Y'know, sometimes it is as simple as playing a Zentraedi in a Robotech game, but still, not human.

I look at like this: There are all these races in every single RPG that are so much better than humans, be it D&D, Star Wars, Rifts, PFRPG....every single time humans are always made out to be either "completely average" or exceedingly weak compared to the rest. It's a challenge to make it through each session as a human with no super-duper enhancements.

I could play a hundred handed godling and it'd still be a challenge to make it through my GM's sessions. Man's a bastard.

Geofront.
It is the safest place on Earth. It has a pretty formidable army, is hidden and surrounded by a bunch of demons who are currently protecting the Geofront from all those who can harm it and are quite capable of doing so for an infinite amount of time.
Not only could I live out my days in perfect safety but the Geofront still has the pre Rifts infrastructure - decent education, law systems and entertainment facilities. I could live a long life there and die happy knowing my offspring will continue to live that same content life that I had. Not to mention that with a compulsory military training program, I would die knowing they were perfectly capable of defending themselves if necessary.
The Geofront is an easy choice for anyone, even if your list included every faction in the Megaverse it would still be the most correct answer.

I'd go with the CS. Life is just much easier without any grey areas. Just kill everything that isn't human. I would be totally incapable of trusting something inhuman and supernatural, so the CS just seems logical for me.

Whenever I ask something that says you, I mean YOU.
If I want where Your Character would go i'd ask YOUR CHARACTER.

It is simple english...

You = YOU (Not a character)

If i Asked what OCC would YOU become, I mean YOU (not a character).
If i asked what your favorite color is, I mean YOU (not a character).

The Human might get Mutated, Transformed, or discover they were not really human in the first place (Nightbane).

Then again I dislike 99% of the Dbees around too for various reasons.

In most games I'll play a human first to get along in a system. As I get a better grasp of the system, I may or may not continue to play a human.

Just depends.

Statistically, it wouldn't be much of a fight but the CS has the one true supreme being of the Megaverse backing them (KS). As long as they don't lose favour with him, they are perfectly safe.

I love the Kolodenko Camp and their leader. That man is a visionary and a true leader. Plus the man is a Genius.

Black Panther Heavy Cyborg model (Secret)
White Tiger Ultraborg model ( Full Conversion with Full Stealth ability/rolls )
The Lynx Power Armor (for his Human members) (Standard Issue) (Stolen by the other Warlords though)

Could you imagine what Kolodenko could do with Splicer Tech if it fell into his hands... :demon:
His men would not need to subject themselves to bionic conversion anymore. The other Warlords are too dumb to figure out the Splicer Tech in any fashion.
With his home base up in those mountins and near the Black Sea, he could have alot of Flying Host Armors or Archangels.
Now if the Splicer Tech still had the Anti-techology weapons/defenses, he would have a strong weapon vs the other Warlords.

Would he dare to share Splicer Tech with Warlord Rominov ?
I bet she would leap at the chance to regain her Flesh&blood Body through Splicer Tech. Then she would regain her full psionic powers.
Ohh the Possiblities...

Actually, I think you'd have a pretty hard time selling genetic stuff to Kolodenko or any of the Warlords of Russia for that matter. They are in love with the machine so to speak, and would find the technology alien and disturbing. Kolodenko would definitely see the possibilities of using splicer tech, but getting it accepted by the people of Russia without him looking like he has sided with a dangerous alien force will be next to impossible. Splicers could make a life as reavers in Kolodenko's war camp, however, with little or no impact upon the warlords face.

Also, about the war camps: Kolodenko has perhaps the safest sphere of influence in all of Russia for a few reasons. First, the types of terrain in Kolodenko's area is a mountain range with some small amounts of arable land at the base, and miles of desert beyond the foothills. Second, Kolodenko happens to be the best friend of the Cossacks living in the mountains to the point of being considered a brother to them, so any attacks levied at either group will result in a full scale attack from the other. And thirdly, Kolodenko's forces are crack troops who know how to use the mountain and desert terrain to full effect, making most full scale attacks acts of suicide. The best way to attack his sphere of influence would be with air units, and Kolodenko has THE BEST air force out of the warlords.

In a nut shell, I'd feel pretty safe in that place. I'd also try to become one of his White Tiger Shock troops just for the joys of being a sneaky AND devastating power house.

Big Joe: We need you to enchant this Liver, this heart, and these kidneys.

I'll side with DreamDancer on this and join Lazlo. I would join the CS but they would brand me as a rogue scholar and a d-bee. I could find a comfortable life in Lazlo with my knowledge of history.

GeoFront.

And why play humans? If i waqnted to play a human, I would just play a multitude ofr console games. I play Rifts and PF and so one for the imaginitive play, not to engane in my own little mind war about how the weak humans can overcome. *shrugs* but to each there own.

Native American Reservations (techies)

the reason being is that I enjoy Nature yet I am a child of technology. It would also be interesting to find out if the old family rumors about French ancestors spending winters with Native women is true. In any case their belif system is closer to my own than the other factions.

Atlantis, I think we lost that right when we broke the planet and opened the door. I would side with tolkneen though since they are making use of what had not lock it up in a black vault. And for the fact they are dead.

Why is no one showing any form of Geofront love?
That place is literally perfect. I'd rather live there than Phase World, or even Atlantis if I were a High Lord, hell I think I'd rather be a member of the Geofront than be Prosek.

Because it's surrounded all the time from things which make Atlantis look meek. I'd rather take my chances in the comparitively safe Coalition than have anything to do with the Geofront.

Those demons making Atlantis look meek is one of the major selling points of the Geofront. No matter how insane or desperate a potential invader is, they aren't getting in as long as those demons remain. The demons themselves can't enter the Geofront due to the Chi of the Yin Caverns and pose no threat at all - they are little more than an infinite army of unpaid bodyguards.

Or do what I'm doing in my new game...
The I'm replacing Chi-Town and the CS with a group based on the Geo-front. I'm limiting them to the Chi-Town CS Terroritory though. I'm making Lone Star it's own government/nation. Free Quebec is as is.
The other old "CS" States will not exist as "CS" states.

Yeah, I'm totally overhauling RIFTS Earth to fit me and my games.

Atlantis (Not physically on Earth) It is on a different world that uses the Major Triangles to come and go to Rifts Earth.

More changes still to come...

... like I even need to say. :P

Join the Coalition States...

... where every soldier is a hero, and where every hero is the last, best hope for humanity.

... where people... real human people... need not fear for their lives every waking second of their lives from the monsters and demons that torment the Earth.

... where the perversions of nature are never tolerated, but while at the same time those special few selected by evolution to be more can serve with Psi Bat with distinction.

... where the best, most noble traditions and ideals of Humanity may live on unmolested by the alien, nor the race-traitors who side with the unearthly and evil.

... where no child goes hungry, unloved, improperly educated, or unwanted by the state.

Join the fight for Humanity's future in any way you can, because if homosapien blood flows through you veins, you too only have everything to gain by joining, and everything to lose by not.
