What would change if the char already ambidextrius befor taking on the trainning?

The only difference I can see is that you might be able to fire a gun with either hand without penalty at level one instead of level two.
If you try to use guns in both hands, you can't use your Triad Asassin Training strike bonus until level three, when the actual Weapon Kata for W.P. Paired Pistols is gained.
I suppose a shorter training time is plausible, but it's also unprecedented within the N&S rules (not to mention that Triad Assassin Training doesn't actually say how long it takes to learn).
