Dropping YAAI
Ok, so the player group is looking to drop the big bad nasty that's been causing them way too much trouble. So they're building up a little army to assault the thing in it's home dimension (Don't worry, getting to the thing is going to be a hard enough feat... I plan on making that itself a military campaign in of itself) but once they finally get to it and with all of their hard work... how do I give them a chance? It's got that annoying automatic teleportation ability. How can they get around this? Is there a way to prevent it from using it? Can Leyline Rifters hitchhike a ride with it?
I just don't want them to go through all of that trouble and the thing just teleports away. While I wanna give them a chance I don't wanna just let up and make the thing forget about that ability. Taking down an AI should be a great feat to talk about. Something that after it's all done everyone looks at each other and goes... wow. A campaign ender, a final battle, that epic stand... ya know. So I don't wanna go easy on them, but I still want to make it possible.

Yeah that's what I figured. I had an idea for an item that a techno wizard could work on with a LLR where it would either interrupt the teleport or allow everyone in the nearby area to teleport along with the creature.

Maybe the villian is so enraged by to PC attack that it become me vs. they. "I'll may die, but you'll come with me!", or stuff like that.

I hada similar situation from the other end, as GM I was looking for a way to overcome a PC's Dragon, specifically its teleportation power. People came up with some really good help, especially spells. HAve a look hope it helps:

Re: Dropping YAAI
I think the second altantis book and some type of net/ that block teleport. Mod one of those may work.
Or get a spactial mage(RIFTER Spelling bad sorry) that can track them.

I think the important thing to remember is that the group is attacking the YAAI's home dimension. When they're on Rifts or BtS Earth, and a YAAI uses its dimension teleport ability, it's home dimension, is probably where it's going to go. BUT, if you're already fighting it in its home dimension, what are its options? IIRC, it can only teleport its physical form to a dimension that has an essence fragment or anchor to start with. So another option, is to try and track down those essence fragments in other dimension before mounting an assault on it's homebase, in which case, there might not be anywhere else for it to go, so it would have to stand and fight.
Of course, there is nothing stopping it from teleporting in it's own minions by the hundreds either.

Get somebody with the spell Dimenisonal Barrier. it blocks all forms of teleporation and dimensional travel.

I made the AI as per the rules in Conversion Book 1. According to that he can only summon a certain set number of demons (which the player army will have to make sure they have enough numbers to compensate for) and it can teleport I think it's up to 50 miles away. Where does it say that the intelligence can teleport to any dimension it's fragmented in?

SOME Alien Intelligences (like the Splugorth as an entire species) cannot teleport to any dimension that they currently have an Essence fragment in.
(Vampire Intelligences and Nxla are notable exceptions; of course, both of these AIs have to get essence fragments into the dimension, and in sufficient numbers, to teleport into a target dimension in the first place.)
Apart from that, unfortunately Alien Intelligences have the same ability as their Deific and Draconic counterparts; that is, they can typically teleport to any dimension that they've ever been to at something like 88% or so.
For SkyFyre: Many Alien Intelligences are typically stuck in their Home Dimensions for a long period of time (by human standards) if they've been greatly weakenend in prior battle and have to escape there as a last resort, and typically have to recuperate within that Home Dimension (they don't have a choice) for months to years to centuries. Many AIs also cannot return to the dimension that they established a foothold in for very long periods of time (even by AI standards) when forced back out in such a manner.
Why don't you as GM arrange for outside events to harm the creature enough to flee back to its home dimension in the first place??
