You can have something done good, fast and cheap. If you want it done good and fast, it's not going to be cheap. If you want it done fast and cheap it won't be good. If you want something done good and cheap it won't be done fast. ~ Dark Brandon

Actually, there _ARE_ no rules for it.

Number 46.
46. I just had a quick question regarding the Yggdrasil tree in "Pantheons of the Megaverse." The information provided in the books says that after a character performs the gift of knowledge ritual, he/she must make a save vs coma/death that is the character's PE +1% per level of experience. Does this savings throw include the character's PE bonus to save vs coma death (if applicable)? So, for example, if my 1st level character has a PE of 18, would his saving throw be 18% or 24% (i.e., 18%+ 6% PE bonus)?
Answer: The base saving throw vs coma/death is P.E. + 1% per level, so bonuses to coma/death will apply.
The old FAQ is nonoffical, just like the new FAQ. So it's a guideline but not the "real" rule.
And before you ask, no, it was not penned by palladium staff.

Greetings and Salutations. There are rules for Saving vs. Coma, when to use it, and the % required depending on treatment. The rules are in:
PFRPG 2nd Edition; Page 19-20
HU 2nd Edition; Page 18-19
Nightbane; Page 37
Those pages may vary depending on printing I suppose, but it's located in the section that discussed Hit Points & S.D.C. in the character creation, but before the next step. I glanced through Rifts GM Guide and R:UE, but didn't see it in either (at least not in the same place it is in the other books, but I didn't look too hard either). It might also be in other main books, I stopped looking after the three. Unless there was some different types of rules being sought for the Coma/Death, then I apologize for the misunderstanding (but I think that's what you're looking for).
Also, there are a lot more Saving Throws than just those listed in the books above (most of them having one reference in one book somewhere, most not very common). However, there is a compilation on Kuseru's site (Ninjas & Superspies GMs Netbook). While technically I don't have his permission to use it here, but since his site is openly available on the web I don't think it should be a problem to post the link (if there are any problems with it, let me know and I can edit the post to remove it).

Just thought I'd add in that in there for some added clarification with the hopes it may help. Have a nice day. Farewell and safe journeys.

The save verse coma and death are % rolls listed in each of the main books. Under differing conditions the rolls are different.
