Unknown_Nobody wrote:I am starting a new chapter in AtB. One of my players doesnt want to play anything fully human, mutant animal, or alien. Most usually he plays "Momster" PCs. i.e. werewolves and lab experiments.

I'm willing to make things flexible for this player as long as the character doesn't look human and is Sdc....

Any suggestions?

:?
Oh and I'm not looking to FORCING him to play anything he doesn't want to. As a leniant (yes I know it's misspelled) Game master I am a good negotiator as long as I am aware of what I can present as really thought out options.

If your willing to change the setting a little, why not call After the Rifts. Keep all the background info the same, with the viruses killing humans and mutating animals, but have everything happen because of the coming of the rifts just like in Rifts Earth. Leave everything else the same, including S.D.C. and the Empire of Humanity, just add magic and supernatural. You could even have the current levels of mystic energy lower than Rifts Earth, more like PFRPG.

If you don't want to make such drastic changes, Id tell the player tough luck as what he wants isn't supported by the setting. Maybe let him play a Chimara (sp?) that you help him custom make (checkout Eugenics from PU2 for HU2)

Funny, lather. I wondered the same thing. Gods know I've done my share of all of them!
This world is far too small not to want to see it all, but life is far too short to allow that to happen. - Falcon, Ranger (My primary hero in PFRPG setting)

"Unhand me you slobbering son of an Orcish whore!" - Ariana Moonstone, Palladin (Another primary character of mine.)

"Bastard!" War cry of Strut, Barbarian Mercenary. (That's for you James!)

A Liger is the offspring of both a lion and a tiger
its the big cat equivalent of a mule.
DM is correct by the way. - Ninjabunny
It's a shoddy carpenter who blames his tools. - Killer Cyborg
Every group has one problem player. If you cannot spot the one in your group; look in the mirror.
It is not a good session until at least one player looks you in the eye and says "you sick twisted evil ****"

Bread for its magical powers, it's pretty much the favourite animal of Napoleon Dynamite.

Also its only called a Liger if the father is a lion and the mother is a tiger. Its called something else if the tiger is the father and the mother is a lion. (or is it the other way around) I watched a special a on the Nature Channel a few months back dealing with it.

you aught to be able to make a Liger Mutant by taking the Tiger as a base and giving it some strength and toughness boosts, and making it a size class or two bigger. Liger's are huge compared to the parent animals, because of the way the genetics work.
