In other news and sports -- December 27, 2008

Perhaps needless to say, I’ve been a bit distracted by my thoughts and feelings for my dear friend, Erick Wujcik – not to mention other demands of the holidays.

I love Christmas, even the wrapping of presents. We had a nice, quiet evening with Kathy’s daughter, my Dad and friends. Kathy cooked up a feast the 10 or 12 of us couldn’t possibly all devour, though we tried. (Not a problem as I love leftovers.) We exchanged gifts, chatted and enjoyed each other’s company. I spoke with my daughter, Monica, who is doing GREAT and was enjoying some downhill skiing over the holiday with her boyfriend, Steven, and also talked to my brother and a few pals, including Doug and Rene. I spoke with Erick the night or so, before, and I'm still trying to get hold of my son, Adam.

I relaxed a bit, read a pile of comic books, watched episodes of 24 (Season 6) with Kathy and Alex, and just enjoyed a little time off wth the people I love.

Wow, those three days off flew by like lightning, and I found myself back at work with a stack of Christmas Surprise Packages to fill.

Christmas Surprise Package offer extended till January 8, 2008

We learned years ago, that a surprising number of people cannot afford to get a Grab Bag till after Christmas, so we always try to extend the offer for an extra week or two after Christmas. This year it’s till January 8, so if you have not ordered your Christmas Grab Bag yet, time is runnin’ out. Don’t say we didn’t warn ya.

Please note that I gave the guys Saturday thru Tuesday off, so orders that came in Friday, December 21, to present, are not going out till today or tomorrow. There’s something like 60 of them, so we may need a couple days to process them all. We didn’t get any done Wednesday as we had other work to get caught up with. Fear not, Santa Kevin and his trusty Elves are on the job, just give us a little time.

The Rifter® #41 is at the printers

The Rifter #41 is at the printer and should ship around January 8, 2008. It’s another great issue. Personally, I think The Rifter® just keeps getting better. Good work, Wayne.

Rifter® Subscription Special Offer is coming

A number of you have started to re-subscribe to The Rifter®. Awesome, I want to see our subscription base grow to new heights – HOWEVER – please note that our annual, once a year, subscription drive will launch January 11, 2008. That’s when you can get a FREE gift with your Rifter subscription and keep the current subscription rate.

Dyval and Robotech®

With the holidays and everything else going on I’ve been pretty distracted and unfocused. Busy working, of course, but on things other than writing.

I plan to get back to work on Dyval tonight and work through the weekend. Robotech® will follow. Prep work is already being done on Dimensional Outbreak and I’m busy coordinating a number of secret projects as well as dealing with year end business paperwork and junk (never fun, but always necessary).

That also means I am WEEKS behind on my responding to Private Messages! I only got caught up with my e-mail this morning and hope to get to answering those P.M.s in the next day or two. My apologies for not answering sooner, but I’ve either been insanely busy or just not in the mood for correspondence. I hope you understand.

I’m sure you’ll hear from me in a Press Release and/or another Murmur from the Megaverse® or two before year's end, but let me say it already, have a very happy and safe New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day holiday. And here’s hoping ALL of US can expect a happy and prosperous 2008.

Keep those imaginations burning bright and game on!

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
