Then I'll tag along with one of these shifters when they head home, get a loan, reverse engineer the PA and make a HUGE fortune selling them to the military.

That's a serious assumption, especially since the real world is a magic dead world. The real world is like a giant Nega-Psychic, so no Rift would open here anyway.
Not true, if you can open a rift on an asteroid you could do it here.
But as long as they can get me back thats my only real concern.

I'm guessing that you left the psychic classes out for a reason...
LLW is probaby where I'd end up...or at least try to get. By nature I'm a student. But I'm also a bit of a jack of all trades...so there's quite a few other OCC's that I'd probably end up being.
There's something about magic that's just cool...but I don't know if I'm patient enough for it...not to mention I'm probably too old for it as well.
Now...the other option would be a T-Man...that would probably be my first choice if it were an option...

And the time? Wed Jan 09, 2008 9:13 pm. Now, unless time is less linear than we conventionally believe, you didn't post it first. Daniel Stoker said shifter first in the thread, but didn't say why.
Now, don't take this wrong - I'm not mad or anything. Humour & text alone don't work so well sometimes.
Edited for correct first person to say it.

Eh, so I may not keep the magic powers, I could still get home. The second part of your statement isn't really accurate - you could still open the rift here, since the power fueling it is coming from your starting location.

Well if you want to be anal, then no, I said Shifter first. 2nd response after Josh. Mark was just saying he was the first one to say he picked Shifter so he could rift home.

We covered this in another thread and i don't want to hi jack so let me say those infiltration borg pass off as completely human. And if they made bionic breast for rifts. I'm sure they have a Mr. Stud sexual implant! A good molded frame and an artificial skin overlay. And some hair. And you would be a chick magnet. And you could pull that cool terminator effect during battle!!!

My first thought at seeing the scenario is 'Take the wiget and run for Lazlo, and see if it can get me in with some rogue scholars. This Julio guy doesn't seem too trustworthy, might need some help getting away from whatever goons he might have though..' and see where things lead from there. ![Big Grin :D](./images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Ley Line Walker for the magic and forget about going home. You forget we have all our knowledge of Rifts Earth that we have know. I own every Rifts book there is and read each at least three times. I would exploit that to its fullest. I would join the Republicans and lead a assualt team via magic into Archie's stronghold. Inflitrate the Vanguard and convince them of a CS regime change that would accept magic. Follow the Republican plan for a takeover of the CS but add the Vanguard to the mix. The Republicans takeover the CS, the Vanguard is the new magic arm of the military, and I have both groups indebted to me. Power behind the throne anyone?
