I guess I must be just plain stupid. I do not see how MDC/SDC/HP can get people so riled up. It's JUST A GAME people. I don't care one way or the other, I prefer MDC in Rifts, but I can play it without and use SDC/HP if that's what the GM or my players want. Or Wound Points or System Shock rule or Force Points or Wigget Points or Soak Damage System or What the H*** ever points. It just does not matter to me as long as we are having fun gaming. Stuff like this is just not worth getting worked up over.

Each to his/her/its own. More power to whom or whatever wants to play JUST A GAME the way they want to.

And as I have read about every RPG out there, most if not all tell you if you don't like something in the books, change it to what you do. No big deal, so change the stuff you don't like and move on. That's what I do.

Now, see I got worked up over not getting worked up on this issue. :D

Just some thought from an old gamer. Big Bob.................. :D

I use MDC, I like MDC. Learn it, love it, live it. cheers!

MDC! :ok:

Except, I don't like the Chinese soldiers having mega damage skin, for health care reasons I'm very much against that little bit. Imagine trying to get a TD shot... Not good.

Unfortunately, the JUST A GAME Award is this:

:thwak:
Annual Best Poster of the Year Awards (2012)

"That rifle on the wall of the laborer's cottage or working class flat is the symbol of democracy. It is our job to see that it stays there." -George Orwell

I can see two sides to 'just a game' though.

Alright, so far we have 22 people for MDC, and 9 against.

24 - 9 now.

That makes 72% and, transposing 72, 27%.

I like symmetry.

Neither can I say I'm surprised at the results.

While I don't ignore MDC because I like the mechanic of it, I have been contemplating dropping the utter invunerability it has.

a 20-30 ratio seems to be my best bet. Regular bullets still bounce off, meanwhile MD attacks no longer utterly destroy SDC humans and such (they still hurt a whole helluva lot though).

Hey sasha, when you made this poll, did you put in a time limit, or a few years from now, when we all forgot about this poll, will someone be able to cast Thread Necromancy: Superior and vote in it?

No time limit.
