Though I usually use google.

For example
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=9+inches+in+cm

Or my calculator since I have most of the numbers remembered.

I have a question; why bother converting? Also, why not just use a sheet of paper to get the rough conversion ratios down, and just use that?

Sometimes approximations are not accurate enough for the need at the time.

And for players who don't know feet and gallons and all that, those charts get unwieldy.

That being said, I do use a chart for Temperature conversions since the formula is more than A x B; on the other hand, Google's calculator makes Temperature a snap.
