this is my idea
a super human with the power to shoot bullets out of his eyes
is this a cool idea or just stupid?

Svartalf- if Cherico were a character created in a point game system, he'd have all his scores in geeky skills and his youtube and weird net stuff schticks all paid through a a Terminal Bad Luck (with more nasty GM intervention) disadvantage, and probably an Uncouth (can not have social skills) disad as well...
In an RPG with deadly situations that character would have had to be replaced a dozen times over[

Cool, but only in a stupid way. Great if you're going for the sort of over-the-top awesomeness of a Dr McNinja story, but far too silly for a campaign that's trying to take itself seriously.

I'd have to say, stupidly cool. Being able to shoot energy beams would grant the same overall ability, and carrying a gun isn't that hard. Any of the Matter expulsion powers would probably do the job, but just think of the lines that character could use!

Other than that, I'm pretty much in agreement with Rallan. If would really only be good for a goof power, or as a suprize for somebody.

Having solid objects in your eyes would have to pose an obstruction to vision so you probably wold not hit much and have your eyes irritated from shooting the bullets. Not very good for practical purposes.

It could be good. If done right. Like say, a mystically bestowed character who was killed by getting shot in the eyes, and his reanimated super powered corpse shoots bullets out of its eyes.

The fact is, bullets out of eyes is kind of illogical, so the amount of twisting you'd have to do for a science or tech based character would make it stupid. But with magic and the poetic symbolism it often employs, you could make it work
