The biggie I remember for France is the Blood Druids, who were never statted anywhere. I assume some sort of sacrifice driven cult of tree huggers. Use the Blood Shaman from the Rifter.

Shini,

While the French as a whole are a bunch of Cheese eating Surrender Monkeys. You do get rural Frenchmen who are acctually men and not some metrosexual idiot(Then again while we of Welsh blood hate the English we will side with them to beat up the Frogs).

I have been planning a game that heads into France Myself and the terrain in france is surprisingly wooded in places. I sugest that you take a look with Google Earth and a Map of France.

There'd be normal human and d-bee villages in France. Some would have a benevolent protector and some would have not so benevolent protectors.

I'd also use the village scenes from RE4 as inspiration to set the mood. For some reason, the whole first half of that game just SCREAMS Rifts France!
"He who commands the kitchen commands the ship." -C. Magewind, Ley Line Rifter and self proclaimed "Best Cook in the Three Galaxies"

"The question is not why the mechanoids kill the humanoids, but only why nobody did it sooner." -Killer Cyborg

France is Gargoyle Central, at least as told by Triax/NGR and I think you are more likely to find D-Bee villages and maybe human mutants that would live among them. A portal between France and Madhaven might lead to a very interesting village.

As for Rockwolf66's insults to my French brethern, I must point out that they rebeled against the leeches of nobility two hundred years ago while today's English toadies still can't shake the Queenie and her money gobbling brood. Plus, their food is soooo much better.

I should let you know that I am of French Ancestry. The thing of it is...the French part of my family are total elitist snobs with more than a touch of Racist to them. IE...Anything not pure Anglo/French is somehow inferior to pure French ancestly. I'm not saying that all French are bad but I've seen some really bad things on the part of those who call themselves French(Canadian).

As far as Rural france goes I do see them in the same light as Rural people everywhere as Farmers the world over all have the same basic needs and concerns.

I go with a number of small kingdoms and villages with pop:less then 35000.Mix of Human and d-Bees.Blood druids have spies or influence in some of them.

Gargoyles will invade needing more Resources for the Fight against the NGR.
the ngr have put some troops in tring to stop them.

I thinking about making a The Musketers,a group fighting the Blood Druids and others, tring to provide protection for the People France(both Human and D-Bees)

What do you think?

I know there isn't much on France, but for most of my games, it was hit hard by the Dark Ages, still pulling it self up by the boot straps. Tech is low, as the NGR has yet to come out, but it will become a battle zone sooner or later as the gargoyle empire spreads. For now, it's reverted to it's barbaric roots of the Roman Ages, the Gauls and the Franks again controlling the lands, as well as other Barbarian tribes, with druids forming the leadership of most towns (blood druid or otherwise). Most combat is melee, and tech production is limited.
Getting a mage to tell you where the hydra is...10,000 gold
Hiring a summoner... 40,000 gold
Hiring one hundred 10th level mercenaries... 98,567 gold
Giving a hydra skull to your necromancer... priceless
