Anthology Books Ships Today – August 7, 2008

These are exciting days at Palladium Books.

Rifts® Tales of the Chi-Town ‘Burbs ships today. I just got off the phone with the printer and they said the book was done, looked great and would arrive this morning!

We are very excited about this book of short stories.

1. It’s something new and different.

2. We hope it’s just the first of many.

3. It has been a labor of love. We all had fun writing it and put our all into every story.

4. We can hardly wait to hear what our fans and other freelancers think of our love child. :-D

That’s how us writers are. We want to know that you enjoyed our work. Right now, only Kathy, Alex, Wayne and Julius (and of course, myself), have read the entire book. We love it, but, you know, we’re biased. Man, we hope you love it too, and if the book sells well we can do many more, and not just for Rifts®.

Robotech® The Macross Sourcebook is nearly completed!

96% of the artwork is done – 80% of which has been approved by the good people at Harmony Gold. It looks awesome. 90% is brand new. Illustrators include the dynamic Manning Brothers, Brian and Allen, Mike Majestic (Zentraedi and misc.) and newcomer Kat Matravers (characters). Apollo’s cover is in too and looks as good as his first. Nice.

75% of the writing is done and about to be sent to Harmony Gold for their review and approval.

We’ve been working practically around the clock to get the book finished and in for approval before we leave for Gen Con. That means it will go to the printer shortly after we return and should ship sometime around September 10.

Jason Marker will be diving immediately back into finishing The Masters Saga (Southern Cross) and art will be assigned (to the folks above) next week. This will see The Masters Saga out for an early October release.

Meanwhile, I’ve been splitting my time between Robotech®, coordinating other book titles (for example, I just assigned the cover for Dead Reign to E.M. Gist), Gen Con prep (displays, flyers, promo-items, etc.) and business (not fun, but necessary).

Best of all, we are giving each book our best effort to make them as exciting and fun as possible. We want to create books and games you will love and want to read and play over and over again. Heck, we want to knock your socks off.

Hope to see a bunch of you at Gen Con. Those of you who can’t make it, think about seeing us at GallowsCon (Indiana in October) or the 2009 Palladium Open House (May 1, 2, 3, 2009) and/or buy that Rifts® anthology book, Tales of the Chi-Town ‘Burbs and the Robotech® Hardcovers, and The Rifter #43 and . . . well, everything! :)

Gotta go to prep for the shipping of the anthology book and run some errands. Have a great weekend. Me, I’ll be working my tail off, but it is worth the effort. We are soooo happy to be getting books out again, one after another.

Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda
