Granted, the thought behind "Full/EBA" Armor and "Light" Armor in regards to whiplash or broken necks may be a sound thought, it would also thusly impact game play in other ways. Case in point: If EBA prevents Neck Breaks, then EBA doesn't have a full range of Neck Movement, which could lead to penalties imposed during combat, as one couldn't move to see effectively. I'm thinking Keaton-Era Batman with more full body twists to look side to side, instead of a simple head turn. In addition, this would certainly follow up on other 'Soft' spots in armor, like joints and such, to a point where wearing EBA wouldn't be effective as one could not move as much. Thusly, even those in EBA should be effected by Neck Breaks, but giving a save or protection against such a thing is via.

Summary: I would grant immunity, but I would apply full effects.

pinning a peron is a lot different than choking them. Heck half of wreestling is trying to roll a guy from parte (his stomach) to hisback. I'm assuming strangle his Palladiums version of choke and tht is a lot different and can be done from a varitety of positions.

Also its gotta be strong enough to break the eba first.

I don't think eba needs to not have a rull range of motion it just needs to not have a range of motion beyond that of the human norm. If the articulated joints were to protected past that the you could heelhook and armbar people in eba no problem. I imagine all joint parts lock out at a certain range
I remember days like this when my father took me to the forest and we ate wild blueberries. More than 20 years ago. I was just a boy of four or five. The leaves were so dark and green then. The grass smelled sweet with the spring wind...For us, there is no spring. Just the wind that smells fresh before the storm.

Well this gets to the part where Palladium auithors are not exactly very clear with there terminology. THere are dozens of chokes. Strangle really isn't a term you hear in submission grappling. You need to be able to cut off the blood flow to a minium of one of the two carotoid ateries to get soemone to pass out. this is effectively requires both atereies cut off if you are not pinning the peron. You crushing the arteries not the neck btw

So in the world of Rifts I guess you'd need to have arms long enough to wrap aorund the neck with one of them to do it.

That is one of your arms and the other arm hodling that arm basically
It is a lot more complicated than that so if some one where to clarify where the choke is happening and kinda what it looks like a could be more helpful

you know what I bet they mean is the full mount two hand around neck hand of trachea steortypical cohoke and the movie he comes up from behind and grabs one sid of the jaw with one hand and the shoulder or something with the other.

Just use your common snese with that but he should have to score a take down as a prior action before he pins him
And the oponet should get a parry translating into sprawl salto whatever

With that neck break attack if it were to work in the magical world of rifts then he had better not be much togugher than you and the strangle you should have a chance to bridge him off but you know talavar was writing about how weaspn guys should not use real world knowledge well I problay have the most bjj on this board or at least close to it so I guess the same applies
