Save vs. Insanity
Do characters such as the Necromancer that have a chance to gain insanities as they go up in levels get a save vs that insanity?

Re: Save vs. Insanity
The books don't say anything about it. In fact, it never spells out when a save vs. Insanity should or shouldn't be used.

I would think that because they are already insane; as a prerequisite of being a necromancer, like they would have to be insane to attach dead stuff to themselves, right?; they would gain more insanity's as they age/progress in level.

Per book rules though, necromancers don't start with any insanities.

I'm pretty sure if you are pre-determined to get insanities like a necromancer or a
crazy, you kind of stuck with them. I think the save vs. insantiy is more for things
that happen to your PC. Like he get's bitten by a giant cobra and nearly dies (goes into
coma). Afterward, I say make a save vs. insanity to see if you get a phobia of snakes
(Ophidiophobia or snakephobia), an obsession with destroying them, or maybe
something random (roll on the random insanity chart).

yes, because every Necromancer does so...

No, they do not have any insanities. Only the Soul harvester gets insanities per level.

I think Misfit got what I was talking about.
That theey have to be "Off Their Rocker" to even start learning necromancy.

Re: Save vs. Insanity
I think that the ME of the character needs to be taken into account. I don't think that a Necromancer with an ME of 30 should have the same chance of gaining an insanity at level 4 as one with an ME of 10. The soul Harvester method seems like a more fair way to handle it than the completely random method of the Necromancer.
