Sunu wrote:I know that attacks per melee from hand to hand combat apply to things like WP Energy Rifle you get the same attacks per melee as your normal hand to hand combat. But looking at WP Archery and Targeting there is a rate to fire part to it, says you get 2 attacks and lvl one and 2 more at lvl 3.

My question is does your normal hand to hand attacks apply toward WP Archery and Targeting or do you just get the Rate of fire from the WP as all your attacks and nothing else(not including OCC bonus).

Also one other question does your bonus to strike from PP apply toward Archery.

Offically, yes, you only get the rate of fire under the WP. Archery and Targeting. However, yes, you do get to apply your PP bonuses to them.

Archer and targeting, the RoF for archery is still the same from the time when chars has, by book legal, 2 APM at 1st level. So each Archery attack counted as one h2h APM.

This is still the case with PFRPG 2nd ed. So blame it on the C&P that PB does when they make a new book and cut corners.
(Not as bad as when Myrum Press did when they tried to convert their "manhunter" to rifts)

However, the archery RoF does increase faster then the h2h progression so about 5th level it pulls ahead of the h2h APM progression.

Each archery attack counts as one h2h APM and the use of h2h APM counts towards the archery RoF. however, there is no hard rule for the APM counting toward the RoF like there is for the RoF counting towards the APM.

The PP bonus count toward All ancient weapons skills. Including the ranged ancient weapons skills.

PP bonus should not apply to Bow use. In the ultimate RIFTs rulebook it says under ranged combat that PP bonus does not apply to guns or ANY OTHER RANGED WEAPON.

Also if you check out the official Palladium games web site and look at the combat rules FAQs section there is the following answer.....

16. Does a P.P. bonus add to the strike when using a bow or crossbow? I never thought that it did, but in the new PFRPG, there is one paragraph about modern weapon proficiencies, where it says that you do. Could you clear this up for me?
Answer: The P.P. strike bonus is not applied when using a bow or crossbow.

Realize these rules might be a little out if date so id someone who works for Palladium would like to reply to this message for official clarification of this rule, I would be most grateful.

Note In RUE that is says that "A Character's P.P. Bonuses do NOT count when shooting a gun." with in the Modern weapons sub section of of ranged combat. Which is virtually ALL of the ranged combat section so it says nothing about ancient weapons.

In fact, RUE says Nothing and bout how to incorporate Ancient weapons into combat.

PF2 has no such rule saying anything about the P.P. bonus not counting towards any weapon.
