Why do I like Ninjas and Superspies
Well lot of things really... being a former military member it was fun to play a characters that reflect that background. Also I have a gift for the technical so Gizmoteers are also high on my fav list....and the mystic stuff of Ninjas is just a ton of possiblities waiting to unfold if you do it right.....I love the game and the best part.....just use real world maps .........can't get easier than that

I've always liked the broad range of martial arts that it lets you select from. I play PF mostly, but I've allowed almost every martial art form in both books to be used in PF at one time or another.
This world is far too small not to want to see it all, but life is far too short to allow that to happen. - Falcon, Ranger (My primary hero in PFRPG setting)
"Unhand me you slobbering son of an Orcish whore!" - Ariana Moonstone, Palladin (Another primary character of mine.)
"Bastard!" War cry of Strut, Barbarian Mercenary. (That's for you James!)

Virtually everything about it. The rules are kind of screwy and some of the martial arts need to be tweaked. But its just great for olaying a 70s or 80s type Bond game. It just screams fun. Plus it has the best character creation system of any of the PF series. (Although math and advanced math are screwy too. Not required for most engineering? Uh....
And you don't need world books to play it. Grab an old bond plotline or use a real world scenario past or present and throw your people in.
And on of the great things about it for me especially are the car and vehicle chases. You can't do those in most PF genres. Well not in PF rifts you sort of can if someones MDC gun doesn't blow up the ride first and you can find two people who have simlar speed rides. High pursuit chases are kind of a joke when one guy has a jeep and the other has a hoverbike.
Plus other things like the characters actually have high base skills at first level so they actually have good chances of accomplishing things and just the high customization of character with enough skills to get things done.
I am wondering though how it ranks up against Spycraft. I browsed that series once and it looked ok but it also seemed like it might be a little too detailed.

I've loved N&SS since I was introduced to it back in 1991.
I loved the martial arts and the characters, as well as elements of the Palladium combat system (although it has always needed a little work on an individual level).
I enjoyed the aspects of espionage and mercenary characters, and I have made use of them in other games, but it was really the martial arts action that brought me.

I like the Super Spy stuff. "The name's, Bob....Big Bob." Combined with a killer martial arts skill and a full tuxedo under a wet suit. What more could "The Man of Mystery" ask for.
"OH! Behave, baby."
Enjoy

Re: Why do you Like N&SS??
from reading alone I enjoy the weird mixture of Spies with or without Gadgets and Martial Arts, I think I wouldnt have combined this into ONE game, and I think Erick is a true genius for doing it. At first I thought, it cant work, but Ive changed my mind, though there is a lot of work left for the GM (and his players) due to the lack of setting-info.
I especially like the stuff on Agents and their covers and agencies. Not much into the huge number of Martial Arts forms.
sadly, as said, the game lacks background info, I mean, its just a little paragraph in the foreword and bits and pieces in the GM section (which is way too heavy on conversion notes within the Megaverse IMO). I would love if that would be expanded - how do Martial Arts Masters and Agents work together - or against each other - what are the major conspiracies behind the obvious political struggles etc. also, an update to the modern world would have been nice, as it stands its against the backdrop of the Cold War, but the situation nowadays is even more complicated and chaotic, which suits the game's spirit well (kinda like the James Bond movies from "Goldeneye" onwards...global weapon dealer organisations, freedom fighters, terrorists, new states rising, global media mogules, etc)

"My own big mouth causes me trouble too. You see, people are always asking me what 'I want' to do next or have planned for the future. Like an idiot, I blather on about some idea I've been kicking around or I'm dying to do."
