The team could hire a shifter to capture it - their dimensional sense skill allows them to interrupt or redirect dimensional teleports - that's all I've got...

Really?!?!? I never knew this... is this in one of the shifter reprints?

That said, to answer the second part about supernatural creatures harming them as a general rule, yes, a supernatural creature's natural attacks count as a magical weapons for purposes of what they can damage... and magical weapons harm almost everything they encounter even those immune to normal physical damage. Even vampires can be harmed by supernatural fisticuffs/magical weapons, though they cannot be killed through any means other than those listed.

So a dragon can beat the snot out of a vamp reducing it to its regenerative comatose state but no matter how much damage the dragon does (it could reduce the vamp to -1000 HP) the vamp will still regenerate. Same goes for a rune sword. It will slice and dice a vamp but will not kill it (unless it is used to sever the head and then burn both the head and body seperatly).

IIRC the Jinn doesn't have such restrictions on what can actuall kill it, only what can damage it. So anything that can damage it can kill it. Supernatural creatures thereofore should be able to use thier natural attacks to kill it assuming it is on its native plane of course.

if I rember my myths crectly use salomens seal, I think it has to be incribed on a vessel of some kind, like a lamp or a bottle. but how you get that ifo to the pc, I would not know
