I like the idea of having Atlanteans attempt to make humans a threat to the super-dimensional beasties that roam Rifts Earth. I just question the point at which the altered humans cease to be human and become something else. Do they lose their humanity when they are powerful enough to stand against the baddies? It almost sound like the Atlanteans are going to be using the humans as guinea pigs in a search for an ultimate biological weapon to help them reclaim the Earth.

It could be fun.

The uncertainty of thought lies in the fact that it cannot be exchanged either for truth or for reality. Is it thought which tips the world over into uncertainty, or the other way around? This in itself is part of the uncertainty." - J. Baudrillard

It occurs to me that just teaching humans how to be powerful wont help. You have to also teach them how to teach other humans to be powerful. You don't just teach a man to fish, you teach him how to teach others to fish.

In terms of ordering, it'd be interesting if the PC's are already in both a pupil and teacher situation - they have atlantean teachers, and outside of the community, they are the teachers of some small village somewhere.

Seconded.
And, of course, how to use their power wisely/benevolently.
