Yin-Sloth Jungles

Was there ever a 2nd addition published of yin-sloth jungles, if not any tips on adapting skills or occ’s? I know there is a now conversion rule, and I don’t know of that a applies to adapting first addition the 2nd addition rules or not?

any thoughts?
and if this is agenst the rules, let me know plz?

no, but they are working on YSJ 2nd ed. a conversion of the Undead Hunter was put on the homepage a long while ago. also, there is a 2nd ed Undead Hunter in LoD 1. IMO its not that hard to make the conversion yourself.

problem I saw is that some of the skills do not have equvalents and I am confused by the way thay did 1st ed. skills.... maybe my roomie and I can puzle somting out....

The manuscript been turned in and awaiting approval by Kevin. Can't say anything about it since no idea what will be changed during editing.

thanks Shawn Merrow, so how does one become a frelance wrighter, just send in a manuscript?

but at lest is being worked on, now maybe it will see prent soon I hope....

Submitting work through the Rifter so they can see your work is the best bet. Once they know who you are then you can work up to the next stage.

As Shawn mention (cause he worked on it) the YSJ 2nd ed has been submitted and is yet to have official release date. The skills and spells from 1st edition have been updated to 2nd edition in 2 of the RIFTERS (#24 skills updated & #25 spells updated). So if you cant wait for the YSJ 2nd ed then go get the RIFTERS.

Both are too great of books to deny to the younger generation. Thanks for the hard work on the conversion guys.

on the other hand, both 1st ed books can be found and converted easily and as many PF-fans already got them, fewer might buy them (again). but, I dunno, how were sales of converted books like Old Ones in comparison to new hot 2nd ed stuff like Western Empire? who knows?

I wonder how sells of things like the updated Rifts, Rifts SB1, FoM, VU, and all have gone. It might need a new article or something added, but it might be worth a thought.

We added new material to Yin-Sloth Jungles 2nd. I have no idea though what will make it through editing.

Never did do a page count of just new material since it was integrated with the old material. I think it was between 20 and 30 pages. As I said no idea how it will do in editing.

To all players that dont have Yin Sloth 1st edition. If I were you I wouldnt wait for the 2nd editions to come out. YSJ's is a good addition and easily convertable to 2nd edition. Go pick it up! :clown:

I agree with Dark Elf, a great book worth picking up now. Most of the conversions are fairly straight forward, just make sure everyone sits down with the GM and work out how their group will handle a Slayer, or whatever before hand. That way you have less hard feelings during the game if a difference of opinion comes up.

It is a great balance of content.

History of Yin Sloth creation and the start of humans on Palladium
Heat conditions, bone weapons, bogs and other local travel conditions etc.
Selection of new monsters
Selection of new races
Selection of new OCC's
Sage NPC
Details & Map of some larger towns in both Orcish Empire & Human Commenwealth
Half a dozen decent adventures based around areas mentioned.
Descriptions of other important places that are interested but allow the GM to develop thgeir own ideas.

I think that this should be standard format for all world books.

I like it, because there is lots of background-stuff in it, new OCCs and fleshed out adventures / interesting locations.

It did a great job of describing a setting without being limiting it what you can add to your own version of Palladium.

If conversion is so easy, how come it takes YEARS to "git 'er done!"? Speaking purely as someone that likes to make money, I'd have these things on the shelves as fast as I could update them. Pourquoi l'absence des intérêts?

Sulyott (Really hope he makes the 2E)
The Orcish Empire
More races than you can shake an ugly stick at.
A few truly original monsters. (Personally, I love the Crypt Creature)

I could go on... but why bother? These points sell the book all by themselves.
