Dead Reign foretold in Siege on Tolkeen chapter 1?

You are on your own. The Army is MIA and our government is gone! There are no communications of any kind. Cities and towns have gone dark, and zombies fill the streets. The dead have risen and it would seem to be the end of the world. Help me, Mommy!

Dead Reign foretold in Siege on Tolkeen chapter 1?

Unread post by DtMK »

I was looking through my books, and came across Poor Yorick, the magic skull of cryptic prophecy. And as I was looking for ideas, I had forgotten all about one of his prophecies. I hope I'm not violating anything here by quoting it.

"There shall come a day when the dead will rise and walk again. And woe be to the world when this day comes, for the land of the living shall no longer be. There shall only be the quick and the dead, and the former shall be doomed to eternal battle against the latter. "

It also asks if this is a reference to the Vampire Kingdoms, or something else? I find it funny looking back at it now that at least 2-6 variations of Dead Reign might just be the answer to that prophecy. Out of curiosity CL, but did this happen to come to mind when you wrote the original manuscript?

It also was foretold in "Island at the Edge of the World":

"I see the end of the world and the change..., errm Zombie is there."

:D
"My own big mouth causes me trouble too. You see, people are always asking me what 'I want' to do next or have planned for the future. Like an idiot, I blather on about some idea I've been kicking around or I'm dying to do."

- From the desk of Kevin Siembieda, The Rifter 12.

I kinda figured that had to do with the vamps sneaking in over the border and the ones that are already in the desert states. But it does sound like a PR fortelling for Dead Reign.

"one day a genius will submit a manuscript about a zombie game like no other before" :D

... I wouldn't say genius ...

:D

Well, i never saw a zombie based game that had the supernatural included (not including Rifts, NB or the fantasy games as to me it's about other things and not zombies) and your original game to me is genius. (Magic ritual to cause all this and have something even more sinister behind it)

But of course, you're humble as always Citizen Lazlo. 8)

The way you has psyonics wrote were they to act like in bts2 but not as many powers or big powers.

Now I'm liking what came out in the latest rifter since i'm running a game with some psionics in it though i'm still strugling with one ablity.

Sense Zombie:

Idealy it acts like a meshing of sixthsense and sense evil but only for zombies.
