Ok, ran across P.V., and have an odd question that, being aimed at other GMs, fits here.
HU2 GM's Guide, and Compendium of Contemporary Weapons, both mention penetration values. Sadly, the information is lacking in both cases, as both give a minor amount, or nothing at all (such as HU2 GM's Guide "PV 1 can penetrate objects up to 30 S.D.C.").
My question, concerning P.V., comes from looking at S.D.C. values. Various books list "Wall, Cinder Block 300 S.D.C. per sq. 10 ft (3 m)", and similar. Now, what exactly does that stop? I mean, if you break it down (300 S.D.C. per 10 square feet means, roughly 30 S.D.C. per square foot, not exact, just a rough breakdown), what rounds will stop at the wall, or keep going through? And yes, I know various books list "A bullet can go through a wall and only lose 2% of it's damage capability".
Anyone else hit this kind of hiccup? And any advice on how to deal with it?

Re: Penetration Values (HU2/Compendium)
We've done it so that to keep things simple that small arms fire won't penetrate a brick or concrete wall. Eventually it'd probably fall apart but hey. A grenade or larger round will destroy the wall such that it no longer provides effective cover.

Re: Penetration Values (HU2/Compendium)
complicated yes, due to the two AR's
If you figure the Cop. Modern Weapons PV values are too narrow to be compatible with both AR's, then if just used vs Robotic/Natural AR then the numbers work better.
have no suggestions about using them vs regular AR.
