First of all, may I recommend the excellent article on Telekinesis and Ectoplasm in Rifter #44?
That said, attempting to crush a motorcycle helmet with TK should be possible but it's definitely going to allow a saving throw for the helmet, and I'd be more inclined to have it cause damage per action based on the PS of the TK, rather than "This helmet has crush resistance to X, you are applying X+1, therefore it is crushed."
