For some of my upcoming horror themed games I intend to include horrific animals that like to lunge at and maul their opponents (AKA: the PC's). But I havent run across any specific rules on mauling and was wondering if anyone out there knows of a book that has them. Or in the alternative if you have a method or house rule you use for mauling I'm all ears.
Thanx in advance everyone!
Anyone know if there are "Mauling Rules" somewhere?

I would just call it two hand strikes at a time.
If its a quadruped and its on top of someone it would be 4 claw strikes at once.
For some reason I do seem to recall seeing such rules before. I cant think of where though.

[@ shorty] Ouch!! game balance much?
Mr loucifer: Pretty much the reason for SDC is to laugh off excess woundage. Otherwise take a look at the serious injuries charts in your rulebook. f you have to make the critters 'extra deadly' in that regard, just give it an equivilent 'power attack' with it's primary mauling weapon of choice which forces a PC to make a saving throw or suffer one of the serious wounds of your choice.
