As per the type of magic, would like to see new Elemental (only) spells.

FWIW, you will see very few elemental only spells out of me. Anything a Warlock can do, a Wizard can figure out. There's a few things stopping them:

1) Elemental spells are a LOT simpler. An elemental spell is usually half the level of a wizard spell, give or take a level. They're also more powerful, for all that.
2) Warlocks don't like sharing their tricks.

Will any of the OCCs from the Yin Sloth Jungles be in there? Really would like to have the Holy Crusader as a 2nd edition character.

What about any of the things from Island at the Edge of the World? Anything from there?

Re: Yin Sloth. I do not know. I wrote up versions of them for MoM (before I knew Shawn and Robyn were working on the YS re-write), but don't know if they'll make the cut for the first book.

That interest me the most out of all the things outlined in the book to be honest Mark. I love Palladium's History and I really hope it goes into a lot of detail, I'm sure you can't tell us any of it, but can you give us anything on how detailed the history is?

My BA is in History. I've also been a history teacher. I didn't give a year-by-year description of the history of magic... such a thing would be too long to fit in the book, and would be drier and more boring that performing a sand census in Riyadh. Instead, I talked about overviews. What were important developments in magic in broad categories. I don't know what else Kevin added (I haven't read that section in a while to make comparisons to what he's mentioned), but he liked my approach.

I played with them a bit, but they're close. I did a lot of work with benchmarking and the like, and gave another sample of spell creation.

So that was a "Yes, but I changed them a bit."? That is what it looks like what you said, but leaving out the "Yes,"

That's... different. Who's the artist? I'm truly psyched about the new book and hope it lives up to expectations, for Mark's benefit as well as ours. This ought to be good!

yes, that sounds reasonable. and to be honest, while I am DYING to get new Palladium Fantasy-books, the idea of the MoM as series never appealed to me. one thick book would have been perfect. but, anyway, now its a series. I sure hope it doesnt share the fate of the last series (LoD).

And for those of you in Southeastern Michigan, drop on by Comics Archives in Plymouth, MI tomorrow, Saturday, August 29! Kevin Siembieda and other Palladium staff will be on hand from 11 AM to 5 PM to sign autographs, sell Palladium products at a special discount, and show a sneak preview of Mysteries of Magic!

Wish I could have been there.

I'll have to place an order this weekend.. It has been ages since a book came out for PFRPG.. :D Aside from this I think I'll keep it a secret from the other players for a bit. LOL

Nothing like hitting em with something they've never seen.
