Re: Normal people
Almost, they usually have a small bonus tacked on to help them out. Some latent psionics, some kinda unique ability.

I've never played with someone completely normal. All the people I play with are into roleplaying games.

Re: Normal people
The closest thing I ever played to a normal person in nightbane was an abandoned vampire from a Rifters. So... no. But, I offer a four level bump to anybody that plays a mere mortal in my nightbane games.

Re: Normal people
My spook squad game had 3 "normal" people
Henry Rollins was a "self made millitia man" from northern montana. He had a shotgun and a pick up truck.
Cul-de-sac (I forget his character name, that was his nick name) he was Ex-Police.
It was a good game, very dangerous encounters, but luckly the Henry Rollins & Cul-de-sac were so weak that they were beneth the notice of the minions in a fire fight, which actually made them invaluable in many encounters where they would be responsible for tipping the scales with well timed plans.
