Re: Coast Guard Character(s)
Depends on what you want the character's occupation within the CG to be. Use "Survivor" OCC, and pick an appropriate skillset.
If he's a chopper or Herc pilot, use the Professional Driver: Specialized - Pilot skillset, in the appropriate things.
If he's a rescue diver, use the Athletics: Extreme Sports skillset, and sub in S.C.U.B.A. and Swimming for Combat Driving and Snowmobiles.
If he's a boat crewman, use Firefighter/Fire & Rescue, and sub in Boats: Motor and Boats: Seamanship in place of Firefighting and Truck.
If he's a mechanic/flight engineer/maintenance crew, use the Automotive Mechanic/Engineer: Electrical/Engineer: Mechanical skillsets.
If he's a radar operator or radioman, use the Computer Technician or Communications Engineer skillsets.
If he's something else, use the nearest appropriate one, and make the necessary tweaks.

Hey if you send Oberoth a PM or check out his Site... he created a Reservist OCC that may give you some good ideas on how build the CG character

I just use the Apocalyptic Soldier as a base, and pick a skill set that works for whatever you want the Coast Guard to be. I used the Fast Learner option to make a CIA agent with the espionage and commando skill sets. Now you have instant CIA sniper elite. It is all back story as to which branch the person is from.

Huh? Wouldn't that be the regular SWAT or Special Ops character. Why would a specific weapon, require its own OCC?

Thats why theres only a 5 slot chamber instead of 8 because its a short barrel, and i would wear a black flak vest with it. I would have a helmet on as well and it would say SWAT on my uniform. I dont have the book i just thought that would be cool.
5 shot short barrel shotgun, or 10 shot with barrel. Compact street sweeper.
Just make a regular SWAT or Spec Ops character and give him a sawed off shotgun. No special class required.
