Absentee GM

Unread post by Rockwolf66 »

Ok I have a bit of a problem on my hands. It's early September and in a play by post game I'm playing in the GM hasn't made an in game post since late July. Now I like the guy and he has an interesting setting but he's neglecting the game he started and has left everyone hanging. I know he's online as we frequent the same places and all. But he's all but abandoned his game. Myself an another player have started playing with one another sans the Absentee GM but I would love to have some advice before I frankly grow tired of waiting and take over the game. I personally don't want to as I stink as a PBP GM.

I contacted him early July after he stopped posting for a bit. he's made one post for the game since then in late july and now nothing posted to further that game. It's really agravating as he posts all the time on other forums dedicated to that game setting. Hopefully he see's this thread and either gets the lead out or steps down as GM.

Well he didn't get the lead out or say "Hey Guys I'm sorry but i don't feel up to being a GM sorry." So we his players had enough and we have kicked him to the curb and asked the site's mods to strip him of GM privlages as we got sick and tired of him just not posting anything for weeks at a time until we pester him enough for a couple of posts that didn't move the storyline forward in any amount. So we his players got together and we had his pet GMPC's murdered in cold blood by our pet UberPC's and have called the game over. We just got fed up with the suposed GM treating us like garbage. There is no excuse for how he was treating us so we felt that we had to take action and did so.

What website is this game beign run? What's the setting?

As for the GM it seem like he is being a punk. I would not play under him/her again for the simple fact thta he/she may pull the same crap again.

as far as the game between us two final players(I've had friends refuse to join the game because the GM's behavior stunk to them as they had GMed the setting since '92.). The setting is Palladium Fantasy and currently we had been playing by chat as the GM hadn't been getting anything done. If someone has a Play by post PF game that has openings I would be happy.
