Why not roll a d6 for a predetermined result. They are intended for a purpose, boarding of ships. Why not simply say the result was successful or not and to what degree it was successful, perhaps based on the strike roll. For those who would say what about shields, simply say they are not terribly effective against shields and deliver 2d4x1000 which is comparable to capitol ship weapons.

Because then you're completely tossing out all phsyics ..

God Rods are supposed to be massivly powerful weapons. Hence the name. God Rods..

Physics has no place in a Palladium game. The mechanics don't allow for it.

And a "God Rod" which on a strike of 17-20 successfully penetrates hull causing massive internal damage (roll on the newly created table from Fleets critical damage and you) and permit the enemy entry regardless of the target MDC is pretty powerful without worrying about physics and complex math. These weapons are for story, they are to permit combat between adversaries on a starship who would otherwise simply blast themselves to death BOOOORING.

And for those who like to argue that they add physics to their story for realism, bravo….enjoy. Seriously; but a writer for Palladium cannot indulge in writing for the game he wants to play and must write for the game he is writing for. Palladium Phase world has ridiculously speedy FTL capabilities while moving slower than slow at sub light and have weapon ranges with a stone’s throw. As such that is what must be written by a freelancer. Change what you will when at your own table.

We had real books not PDFS and we carried them on carts we pulled ourselves that we built by hand. We had Thaco and we were happy. If we needed dice we carved ours out of wood. Petrified wood just because we could.

Place or no place for it ..

The question was how to place it in game .. with out breaking either Physics .. or Game Mechanics ..

As it was the OP's question ..

Lower relativistic speeds as well as a smaller overall sized payload would (in my opinion) do the trick.
