Ok so this actually happened in my game last Sunday..
Two characters. (Maledon Monk and a Bearman Barbarian) get attacked by a lone zombie. After a few futile efforts the bearman grabs the zombie via wrestling. The Maledon grabs the zombie's legs. Then the bearman grabs the arms and they both pull..
So the book says that the zombie doesn't take damage from this.. But I gotta think the combined strength of the two creatures would have some sort of effect.
How would the rest of you play this out?

Re: Zombie Tug O War
A PF zombie is a creature of magic. The way I would play it in my game, simple strength just isn't enough to do anything to it. If we were talking about a DR zombie, then yeah, tear it in half, but a PF zombie is a whole different breed. These are ritual magic creations, with stupendous regeneration and great power.
If you are looking for a way to allow the zombie to be torn in half by the players, you could make the argument that the clause allowing zombies to be blown up indicates that they are vulnerable to dismemberment. Personally, I feel it would take more than a couple folks pulling on it to rip a zombie in half, but I would understand making that argument if it fits your vision for your game.
Whichever way you decide to go, remember that a PF zombie will regenerate like mad, and will be back on it's feet within 48 hours even if torn in half, unless further efforts are made to neutralize it. If you allow it to be torn apart, consider having its upper portion continue to function, like a crawler, until the legs grow back - still dangerous!

With enough strength (have to be up there though) I would let them tear it apart, the zombie would be back in a day or so anyway.
And, I get to make them roll a save vs disease for all the horrible, rotting, festering, disease ridden zombie innards that end up all over them from their respective zombie chunks.
Double win in my book
