The Gods play an active role in the fantasy setting. Often God roam around in any form they choose. Atleast thats what I got from the books. I also have a MM who has a God complex which need a little humbeling. Easy to do but I wanna do it with pazzaz. Any sugestions.
I was thinking of a fenal God layin on some charm, getting him to agree to create an offspring and then WHAMO! Change him into a female and the God takes the drives seat so to speak, lol.

Re: Mind Mages vs Gods
Ehh, have a little fun with the player. Let him get a grab the gods incarnate mind for a little while, while he is in the body have him meet another god who was supposed to meet the first god for some back room wheeling and dealing. the player will probably try to roll with it and write a whole lot of checks he can't cash. When the god retakes his incarnate body back he is gonna be ticked he has a few supposed obligations, and he was taken advantage off. His pantheon might be upset at the new deals, and the god will probably be to ashamed to admit to his divine buddies that his mind was misplaced at the time. So now the gods gonna make that players life miserable over a LONG period of time.
Players may not have to respect a god, but they better well fear them.

Offically, gods ARE fully vunerable to psionics, and they do get bonus's to save but are never immune to it. So yes, your MM could TRY and have a chance of succeeding.

Re: Mind Mages vs Gods
This is another example how Palladium's psionics could be improved by giving higher level psychics bonuses like how mages get spell strength. A 3rd level mind mage has the same chance of his powers taking effect as a 20th level, this seems flawed especially as some classes & races gain additional bonuses to save vs psionics. I love Mind Mages but annoyed at how they get so many powers, but more annoyed how many missing powers from comic books, movies and fiction.
A Mind Mage should be able to possess a god but the GM should not let the player have full access to the being's powers & abilities and never gain their arcane knowledge. Some creatures are mentioned as being listed as immune to possess and if its not under it natural abilities or saving throws their fair game. When the effect ends the player will be dealing a god that will not take being enslaved very kindly.

1) I would say yes because palladiums gods suck donkey
2) In my game the gods as presented are mostly simply avatars, ala Legends and Lore
3) Gods are more powerful than immortals, I am even including the the enlightened immortals.
4) Ranks:
Immortals x 2 to Damage Capacity, Mana, PPE, Chi etc, Saves 10 vs mortals
Demi Gods x 3 Saves 5 vs mortals
Godlings x 4 Saves 2 vs mortals
Gods x 5
Greater Gods x 10
Old Ones x100
Ancient Ones x 1000
All but immortals are MDC, no matter what world they are on, but SDC weapons may harm them if they do enough damage
I also allow for power channeling in spells and psionics. So if a fireball is 10 points, and you have 100 points you can drain yourself of your internal battery and produce a fireball x10. Now imagine if you have 500 or 1000 or even 10k as per the books.
One of the big reasons I go for the untouchable gods is because of the clause that many gods have listed in their abilities all spells or all healing psionics or simply all psionics. Now if you were to kill a god through a method that a later spell would prevent then must have simply forgot that spell existed?
D&D got gods right, using given stats for avatars. Their Immortals are able to create life, planets, galaxies, entire planes worth of multiverses
Short answer, yes by the book no in my game

The entire experiment may ultimately not work. But as Tiger Woods tears into the springbok, his mouth crimson with blood, he looks to have all the makings of a natural-born killer.

I have to ask...what's an ancient one?

Re: Mind Mages vs Gods
It's my own, but apparently Palladium does have examples although poor ones. You see if you read Ds&Gs, and you look under Aco and the Juggernaut apparently the Old Ones were frightened of these elder gods, and hunted down anyone who would pray to them, but there stats don't really pan out that way

In those terrible days there was naught that could be done.
Fight was impossible, and flight hopeless. Rich or poor, high
born or low, all one could do was hide. All the new gods were
clearly gone, and calling on any of the Z'kas was likely to bring
down the wrath of the Old Ones. Despair and fear reigned.
This tells me that the Zkas was something to be feared by the old ones, for the same reason home invaders don't want you calling the cops

I don't think it's so much that the Z'kas were feared, but that they were not the Old Ones. Also, of course, if the rest of the Z'Kas are similar to Aco and the Juggernaut (both of whom have ways in which they can simply not be killed... the Juggernaut literally, Aco able to disappear), it may be that they, in their glory, were far more powerful, and were accompanied by other deities (Ma, Wunjo... there's a couple other names) who likewise had some way to completely avoid the power of the Old Ones. That would be a powerful symbol of rebellion.

Re: Mind Mages vs Gods
Also one could just say that all GODS have Mind Block Auto Defense, which in most cases prevents any and all sorts of Psionic Mind Control to began with.
